It takes the collective efforts of quite a few people, but the giantess' body is dragged into the room, and the door closes.
More work with cleaning controls erase the blood trails and most evidence of your being here. Eventually, everyone has settled into the pilot room behind magical barriers for some well needed rest.
Out of Character: I'll give you guys time to talk a bit before advancing the clock.
Velon greets the newcomers once more. "Thank you, again. I am Velon. You are Ignazio Nikolaos, yes?"
"We are here to oppose this cult, and you are here for a specific item? May we ask what this item is, how you got here, and if you know where the item may be in the castle? Perhaps we can help one another, as you've already helped us."
Velon sits near them, weary and ready for a rest.
Poljen, still gnawing on some jerky looks up at Velon asks a question about the necklace. He glances at Lora and sees her already peacefully resting, and Cratol getting ready to do the same. It is obvious from his face he feels he has much to say, but finally just says, "It would have helped more, I believe. But that is to be discussed later. Here you are. Thank you for its use." He hands over the necklace. He then says, "When next we have a few minutes, I think you need to ask Lora how the raid went. Oh, and we did find some other items in the giant's study up on the top floor. But most were too large for us to use. Lora now wears around her neck something we took. The other weapons would have been too much, even for the might Poljen, ."
Velon raises a curious eyebrow at Poljen's words. "Yes, will do. As you know, the stone is yours if you ever need. You were at my side, as always, when we found it. I only like to carry it because this red-headed fool rings in his armor like a dinner bell for dragons without it!" He smiles and pauses as he looks at the body of the wizard that originally kept this room. "And apparently I like to wrestle wizards with it now too!"
"Yes, let's take stock of our magical items, shall we? The properties of any items found since Rezmir was slain should be discussed so we can make the best use of them. What rings, necklaces, etc. Have been found since then?"
Velon chuckles just a bit. "I don't know anyone here foolish enough to try to take that from you."
Tazskan, I am sorry we have not found your personal items. Hopefully we can do so soon. We'll sweep this place further after we rest.
Out of Character: So getting to know the new people and actually defining what these new items are and who should use them seem to be on the table. Velon may initiate a conversation about how to kill a vampire next, but let's resolve the items. Who has what? Velon isn't carrying anything new, I don't believe.
Lawrance grins wide as Poljen possessively skirts the axe closer. "I have the ring in my pocket, but I haven't used it yet."
Out of Character: : That scene made me laugh, imagining the heavily wounded warrior pulling it close like a favoured toy. Can we ask the Dungeon Master to lists all the items, and we spend time Identifying and assigning them?
" We are here to recover a sundial once gifted by Lathander to his followers. It was stolen from a temple by the Cult of the Dragon. When I saw your tabard with the image of Bahumut I considered your motives aligned with ours.
We were able to divine that the sundial is located in this castle and rode here on the backs of griffons. I assume we have you to thank for giving us an easy ingress. It seems we all have been fortunate to meet when we did. "
Nikolaos will use the opportunity of a rest to tell anyone who will listen about how he was saved by a priest of Lathander, drawing parallels to the days event.
Out of Character: = any character willing to listen to a ten minute sermon can gain the benefit the inspiringly leader feat to gain 10 temporary hit points. Nikolaos is more than happy to give sermons multiple times so more than 6 can benefit.
Also he is going to use the compass on the way to the safe room to triangulate the position of the sundial.
