Poljen says, "As for the gold, I am willing to take a smaller share to help pay more for staff and guards. I am not the best with numbers, but maybe we should always carve off, um, maybe one in five coins for the castle? Then the rest for us?" He glances at Lawrance and Nikolaos. "You two can tell if that gives us better, what have I heard it called? Operating funds? Yes." He shrugs again. "My needs are fairly basic. I have weapons, and can buy newer and better if necessary. A bed is nice, but I am willing to sleep on hard ground if need be. Roofs are helpful, but I have slept more outside than indoors. As long as I have food and friends, I am happy. So cutting my share down to help the castle and the rest of us all works for me."
He also says, "I am thinking of traveling to the storm giant stedding Esclarotta told us about. I would try to enlist their aid in our fight. I imagine a bunch of giants helping us in our fight against the cult could come in handy, eh? I would tell them what happened to Esclarotta and her husband*. I would even offer his old spear to them, as I think we could only use it as a lance, which I don't think any of us wish to do."
Out of Character: : *I still have to find his name… I think it was mentioned, way back…
When Tazskan, gets a chance. He will immediately spend the necessary time attuning, the +2 rod of the pact keeper.
So that its magical properties can be fully used, by him.
Out of Character: Assuming, that Lawrence and Poppo, have finnished thawing out the ice etc.
Lawrance shrugs, unconcerned “If you wish for me or some other to keep the accounts, that’s fine. I would say that if you have no immediate use for the funds, leaving them in the general coffers would be fine. We will just keep track of anything in the castles expenses require, and reimburse you if at some point in the future you need the capital. I do know that my expenses are going to require every single shiny coin. “
“We should, at some point head to the market place we were told of and sell anything that we don’t wish to keep. What we do need now is a consensus on what we’re keeping and what we want to sell.”.
Cratol will speak up "This sword that was the wyrm speakers is something we should not sale or let fall into the hands of a evil person again. It is not one that will be used against a person who is out to rid the world of evil. Maybe drop it into a volcano from high in the air some day, or give it to Silas before he leaves.
Silas spends time with the group, especially Velon and Tazskan. But soon enough he needs to depart as well.
Before he goes, he heads to Glazhael's old lair and conjures up a barrier of stone covering its exterior entrance. "This can be penetrated, but that will at least prevent most would be thieves or assassins getting in this way."
Ignazio, not quite taken with the idea of working with the group much longer, departs with his share of the wealth, taking the road east out of the mountains.
Two days after the visit from the three dragons, a small pouch appears out of thin air within the control room. A note attached simply reads, "Attach contents to a wall in a secure area."
Poljen frowns. He reads the note, but refrains from touching the pouch. He simply calls out for Velon, Lawrance, Poppo and Taz, as they are the most magic-savvy in the group, at least in his eyes. "Besides, if it is NOT from Silas, maybe one of you can tell if it is from the cult. Trying to get us to blow ourselves up, eh?"
