"Having seen him perform I can confirm that he does have a talent for bardic magics. I would be interested in hearing more about your training in the feywild, but that should wait to another time."
Not understanding what has gotten everyone on edge Nikolaos makes an attempt to calm his allies.
"I can certainly understand the need for a disguise. I myself have spent much time pretending to be others. I find that the right appearance can make a large difference in how people treat you. It's hard for me to fault him for trying to make his time in an unfamiliar city easier."

Though still prepared for trouble, not outwardly showing nearly as much suspicion it as many of her companions, the one covered nearly head to foot in dark colored clothing and leather that is well fitting and easy to move on.

Zarra's hood was over her head, though without mask or goggles and her clothing showing a dark skinned silhouette of a elven woman holding a sword and posed as if dancing.

She will ask after the transformation, "That is a hat of disguise, if I were to offer a guess?" Zarra was most intrigued, yet still with caution as she considers what Perry says in his defense.

Specific Action: A new Sense Motive roll, so is pass on the results to Zarra's more suspicious companions.

I can imagine a tiefling might get a very harsh reception in a place like this." She waves her hand towards the door. "No, I do not mind you singing of me without my permission. It was very well done by the way."

She clears her throat. 'That doesn't mean that you aren't trying to deceive us in another manner however. You said that you would submit to magical tests if need be. I will cast a spell now that will compel you to tell the truth. You must not try to resist the spell effect however. I will have several questions for you and then my companions will have more I'm sure Perry." She holds her amulet up and calls upon Sune to determine the truth.

Mari stands by the door paying more attention to the outer room. She will keep her ear up to it to make sure that no one is trying to eavesdrop.

Lia looks around for a moment and then addresses Perry. "First thing.... Is your full intent to travel with us and sing of our deeds? Second question… do you mean harm to us or our allies? Also, do you serve or support Tiamat in any way? Do you have any affiliation with the Zhentarim?"
She gazes around the room. "Feel free to ask questions of him if you have more."

Upon seeing Lawrance stumble in, Perry begins to greet him, “Oh! Hello there, I was just introd-,” when suddenly he is hit with the Dispel Magic spell. “Oh… my, that feels… weird, like I just ate bad ham. Curious.”

When Nikolaos sticks up for him, Perry’s eyes well up a bit as they meet Niko’s, “Thank you, thank you, my hero! I would absolutely love to tell you all about the Feywild! I don’t suggest going there!” Perry turns to the group, “It’s just as he says, a lot of bards use disguises! It’s not easy being part demon you know.”

Then, Perry’s expression immediately changes upon noticing Zarra. Seeing a drow around here is a rare thing indeed, but still, he isn’t frightened by her. Perry more than most knows what it’s like to be judged based on your appearance alone. He gives her a nod of respect and pauses a bit before saying in a more somber tone, “It is indeed a Hat of Disguise, my dear. It’s one of my favorites. It allows me to experience life in another’s shoes and to meet the cruel realities of our world with a bit of a filter.”

It’s then that Perry is confronted by Lia, “Yes, please go on and cast your spell.” It’s a bit uncomfortable for Perry to deal with divine magic. It’s not hurtful or anything, but it does make him feel uneasy in the stomach. Perry answers the questions as follows,

“Yes, my goal is to write a book of songs and poetry about you all. No, I will not harm you or your allies willingly. No, I do not serve Tiamat. And no, I’m not whatever that last thing is,” Perry answers.

Out of Character: Dai, I would like to force fail my Charisma saving throw if I can.

The Protector. says...

Tazskan, sees the transformation of Perry, from an attractive woman, into a male Tiefling.
His expression, turns from being nonchalant to revealing a big grin.

He, looks at the others expressions in the room, notes Velon's supprise look. Then, gives him a look that's almost a scowl.

He, looks back at the Tiefling, "Greeting's I'm Tazskan, dragornborn, indeed what a pleasant surprise, and fortuitous that you don't serve Tiamat," he speaks, revealing his canines, in a smile.

Tazskan, gives anyone a stern look, who looks at the Tiefling in shock. Or is just staring at his form.

Poljen frowns. He says in a soft voice… well, soft for him, but loud enough for all in the room to hear, "We have no need for just a bard. Nikolaos has proven himself already." He turns to Perry. "The Silver Blaze goes into harm's way, and we can not afford to take along one who can not take care of himself… or herself for that matter. For you to earn my vote to come along with us, you will need to somehow prove you can handle yourself." He suddenly brightens. "Velon, how many of us must he face at once, and how long must he last before he has proven himself?"

She shrugs upon hearing his answers. "He is telling the truth as far as I can tell. Hmm.. Now it is time to question someone else in the zone of truth." She winks.

Upon hearing Poljen she purses her lips. "I agree. He should add something to the group. What can he do that Nikolaos can't already do for us?"

Having another thought occur to her she questions Perry again. "Perry, we had another tiefling bard travel with us earlier. They were very unpredictable and couldn't be counted on fully in a crisis situation. Can we count on you to do all that you can to aid our party in any adventure?"
