LIa shakes her head. "There is no oath or pact that Silver Blaze followers have to keep." She looks from Perry to Taz." That isn't even the issue here. It isn't an issue of him joining the Blaze. It is whether he can accompany our group in our missions. Most in this room aren't members of the Blaze. The only members of the Silver Blaze are Poljen, Cratol, Velon and myself. The rest are helping us in our battle. Anyone here such as yourself could eventually be members of the Silver Blaze. They must be supported by the majority of the Silver Blaze members to be allowed in."
"Can we trust Perry to journey with all of us and fight against Tiamat without betraying us? That is the question to be answered."
Perry at this point says, "Okay well, while you all decide upon my trustworthiness, I'll just be over here in the corner putting on my armor and getting ready. Stupid thing always takes me several minutes to get into."
Perry then reaches into his Bag of Holding and pulls out a shiny, gold colored breastplate. It seems to have some sort of crest on the front of what appears to be some sort of shield with ribbons around it. In the center of the crest is an outline of some sort of goose or swan.
Perry begins putting the breastplate on, fumbling with all the various straps and other fastening mechanisms. "Don't mind me… this… is just… always just… the worst… part," Perry complains as he struggles with the bright breastplate.

Velon hears concerns from Lia, Lawrance and Tazskan. At Taz’s question of Oaths and Lia’s response, Velon simply responds with a tilt of the head towards Lia and a nod to indicate he agrees. “On that note some here may deserve to call themselves true members of the Blaze. It should be addressed soon.”
At Lawrance’s whisper Velon simply whispers back “not NOW, Lawrance, unless you want to tell every stranger in this tavern our business while we’re at it, for good measure?” in annoyance.
Velon speaks up to address the many opinions being tossed around. “We will need to find new members to aid us as our war with the cults rages on. Rather than doubts that there is no perfect way to discern a newcomer’s intents, I would hear solutions instead.” He glances at Lawrance once again. “Ask your questions of Perry now, or tell us all what other means you wish to use to measure his worthiness. No more complaints, and no more discussion of how we handle our business here in a tavern full of strangers! If Poljen wishes to measure Perry’s courage and ability to keep up with us when in danger, then it will be so. I, for one, agree this should not be the only measure of finding those who are worthy, as heart, trustworthiness and skills of all kinds are sometimes more valuable. I do think it will be good sport, however!” His mood improves at this last comment and his grin returns.
“Come, let us begin the journey back towards the castle and find a place. We can discuss other methods of sizing up Perry on the way.”
Out of Character: . Sorry gang, Velon can only address so many subjects at once about Blaze business in front of a stranger. We should probably also give a few more the official Blaze title soon as I’m not big on being too exclusive in such things for the sake of individual players out of character.
"Great idea, if we all move out together. Journey back to the castle," Tazskan replies.
Out of Character: If everyone, decides to move out together Tazskan will also. But being after dark, he will not go alone, but prefer to stay overnight at Inn. Then leave early morning. Just to be cautious.
Poljen finally laughs out loud. "The idea of a fight of course appeals to me! Though I was only half-serious. But it would not be fair, nor would it, uh, ah-procks-im-ate what might actually happen during an adventure. So I propose this idea. Velon, we find a way to divide the Blaze into two groups, and have a skirmish in the courtyard. That way we can get an idea of Perry's abilities, and think of ways we can work together." He glances at the tiefling, struggling with his armor. "I am not sure if I want to be on the same team as him, or if I want to oppose him!"
Out of Character: : I will allow someone other than Poljen to glance at Lia and make a remark about "Shirts vs Skins"...
Velon makes his way out of the tavern and hits the road. He's curious to see what form Perry takes as they go through the streets and out the city gates. He looks over his shoulder to see if any party members lag behind or head off in another direction as many are won't to do.
As they walk, Velon approaches Nikolaos. "May I have a word? You've certainly found us an interesting new recruit, if his request pans out." He pulls him to either the front or rear of the group, far from Perry and begins informing him of the history of Mari and the Zhentarim threat, knowing Nikolaos has barely spent any time with Mari or Lia even. He awaits his reaction to the news and any suggestions the experienced bard may have in thwarting this new enemy.
As they get closer to the castle Velon asks the party "So, where would you like to hold this little skirmish?" "In the castle, or should we keep the newcomer out here for now? Who else wishes to join? If it is just Poljen and I perhaps we will call it sparring and take turns attacking Perry. If more would like to join in the fun, we will decide on what is fair."
Lia looks around as they walk. Mari walks along with her and quietly speaks of sights from the city. "Beware, Mari. Stay on the lookout. You know why." She gives her a knowing look. Mari's lips tighten slightly but she quiets and studies their surroundings.
Lia considers what Velon says for a moment before responding." I feel that we should have this testing on the sky castle. We won't be nearly as vulnerable there as we would here being so distracted by the test. I will join in as well to help make sure no one overzealous actually kills someone. I can't sit by and watch the two of you just pummel poor Perry. I am curious as to what type of rules we will set up for this. Any and all magic allowed? This could be a most interesting exercise. I will need to get my weapons and armor on first though. This gown doesn't provide much protection." She laughs.
Mari speaks up." I'll stand watch instead of participating. It would probably be for the better."
