Poljen gives his wolfish grin as he replies, "It may not provide much protection, Lia! But it does provide distraction! Maybe we should always have you fight dressed this way!" Then he pretends to look doubtful. "No, no it would distract me more than most! Never mind! Armor it will be… "he trails off, almost wistfully, though his keeps a hint of a smile on his face.

As the party leaves the private room in the tavern, Perry hangs back and once again dons the magical hat, turning back into the familiar Penelope.

"Hi hi! I'm back," Penelope waves enthusiastically with a big smile, "This is just until we get to the city gate."

As they continue traveling out the tavern and towards the city gate, Perry overhears the lewd conversations regarding Lia's outfit. Suddenly, Penelope's clothes change to match Lia's dress, except the color is a royal purple. "I can fight like this whenever you want me to, big man," Penelope gives Poljen a wink.

Upon reaching the gate, Penelope gives a smile and a nod to the guards before removing the hat again. Perry then continues on through the gate and towards the party's destination.

Crossing his arms across his chest as they travel, Lawrance looks pensive "I'll not participate in this ridiculous little fracas you seem so eager to enact. It's not a valid way to determine motive or allies, no matter what rules you put in place. Thank you, but I'll reserve any judgement until we actually engage in conflict with our REAL enemy, and not some contrived 'test'. I'll do what's needed to keep anyone who does participate intact, but that'll be the extent of my support for this foolishness."
Pulling out his spellbook, he reviews a couple of his available rituals, preparing for when they reach the castle grounds, still watching for threats and observing the now disguised Teifling.

"I agree regarding motive, Lawrance. It is simply a test of this man's skill and resolve. I am not sure how to test his motives further, unfortunately." He perks up a bit and adds "That's is perhaps Lia and Nikolaos's department?!" and grins over his should in their direction. "If nothing else Lawrance, we may learn more of what tricks this stranger has up her, ah, his sleeve. I suspect he has many he has yet to reveal. I for one could use the training."

In response to Lia joining he jests "Don't hurt Poljen too badly, ok?"

Poppo listens to the idea of a skirmish and says, "I'll pass if its all the same to you folks. Never was much of a rough-houser. I spent my time in the kitchen. In fact, while you beat each other up, I'll go see what can be done with the kitchen in the castle so that I can do some cooking in there."

Lia rolls her eyes upon hearing Poljen talking about her distracting clothing." Poljen, what happened to that fair cleric of Mask who stole your heart? I can see that didn't change your flirting. I would like to meet her to… tell her more about our famous Snow Leopard." She smiles innocently at the hulking man.

She looks around the group for others to participate." No one else is participating? Only Velon, Poljen, Perry and myself? This will be a good test of Perry's abilities. "

"Truly Velon, I will try not to damage Poljen too much. I would worry about yourself as well. What kind of person would hit me anyways? Could you do it Velon? "She eyes him narrowly.

Poljen replies to Lia, "Allow me to correct you. 'Twas I that stole her heart! But her devotion to Mask was more important, so she has gone her own way. Perhaps we will meet again. Perhaps not. But even then, there is plenty of Poljen to go around, I assure you!"

As Lia then banters with Velon his eyes narrow. He suddenly perks up. "Velon? Does this mean you have fallen for the Lovely Lia?" He glances at Lia. "I pray, My Lady, you do not lead our brave leader on faithlessly! He is a good man, a just man! Indeed, he might be the one deserving of you attentions!" He seems to be both sincere, and extremely amused.

Velon hears Lia's query and replies "Ah, well, I'll probably steer clear of you Lia, but not for fear of hurting you, but for fear of your wrath!"

His face grows even redder at Poljen's words as he is embarrassed about being called out in front of everyone for his feelings for Lia, but much more so is flattered by Poljen's seemingly sincere words. He has a large smile to go with his embarrassment, and just nods and averts his eyes. "Such words are rare, my friend, and are very much appreciated." He stops his goofy reaction and looks Poljen in the eyes and gives him a sincere nod.

"Wait, are you just buttering me up so I don't knock you on the head with my war hammer, mighty Snow Leopard?! Perhaps it is you that is the trickster here, not Perry! Ha!" It is clear to all that Velon's words on this are in jest as the embarrassment fades and his jovial nature returns.

"Well, it seems that teams are most fair? Perry, who would you align yourself with in this?"
