Lawrance shrugs at the discussion "Whether you put my name down on your roster as a member of the Blaze or not is irrelevant, as long as you still accept my aid in defeating these people and creatures who would see a return of Tiamat to the Realms. After that, make your call on my membership. I'm more than happy to keep using the lab and helping the defenses and secrets of this sky castle, as it is a fabulous way to travel!"
Specific Action: Rolling History and Arcana, whichever applies to the Naga and the Hills.
Poljen says, "I would welcome Poppo, whose heart is greater than any other in the Blaze, for all his size. Zarra has also been a great boon to our cause. And if Lawrance and Nikolaos wish to join, or simply keep traveling with us in our mission, they are also welcome." He pauses and then adds, "Once we are under way, Velon and Lia, I would speak with you privately."
Out of Character: : We can get something going in Side Stories, I think… one of you can choose a setting, whether it is Poljen's room, or Velon's, or somewhere else.
As soon as Velon tells Perry that he can pick an empty room to stay in, Perry’s eyes light up, “Thank you, sir! Oh, this is my favorite part!”
Perry immediately begins exploring the castle. He asks several of the caretakers about empty rooms and gets the location of several. After spending the better part of an hour exploring the various rooms and deliberating, Perry chooses a medium-sized room that contains a full-body mirror.
“This. Is. Perfect!” Perry exclaims. He immediately doffs his armor and switches to his bedtime robes. They are silken and purple, like his normal clothes except baggier and much, much more comfortable. He has a much easier time sleeping in these.
He spends the rest of the night decorating the room and removing all of his various non-travel-essential items from his Bag of Holding. The room now looks like the backstage of a theatre, different outfits are strewn about as he puts things in their proper place. Once finished, the room is a bit tidier and much more… purple.
“Ah excellent, it’s wonderful!” Perry says pridefully.
Before turning in for the night, Perry cleans and does the usual routine maintenance on his instruments. He saves the mandolin for last. “We had a long day today didn’t we, Penelope?” he asks the mandolin as he tunes it. “It was definitely a success, due in no small part to you my dear. Tomorrow we have a big day ahead of us, so I need you in tip-top shape.”
As soon as he finishes, Perry collapses on the bed and immediately falls asleep. His tail hangs off the side of the bed.
"Well, then an official welcome to the core of the Blaze family for Poppo and Zarra it is!" Velon gives them each a cheerful nod or slap on the shoulder, depending on how close they are. "As for Lawrance, that seems like two to one in favor, with Lia abstaining, and thus, welcome Lawrance as well!" Velon seems extremely happy to welcome these newer friends to their ranks in a more official capacity.
"Yes, in truth it was only a matters of hours after meeting Lawrance that we met Taz and then Nikolaos. After having fought alongside you both in more than one battle already, including against a vampire and then a dragon, it find it easy to say you are also most worthy allies. Since Cratol decided to leave I guess he won't be voting, and Poljen has already OK'd Nikolaos. I see no reason why Taz is not just as worthy. What do you say?" He looks to Poljen and Lia once more, although knows Lia has just met both men.
Velon acknowledges Poljen's request with a firm nod. Whenever the meeting wraps up and Poppo and Lawrance get them on a route, he will ask his friend and Lia to perhaps meet up in Poljen's room.
Out of Character:
Perfect, talking to Poljen and Lia about the big guy's concerns was one of my last outstanding To Do's. (Yes, I keep a list these days!)
Ky/Paul, could one of you initiate in the side stories? I was the last to post there already and a new post for a new story is probably best.
Hard to draw the line here between Lawrance and the last two when it comes to in character timeline. I'm all for being inclusive, but know others like to RP people really going through the ringer before being invited fully into the Blaze. Doesn't matter much to play. Enjoy playing with you all either way! .
The group easily sets course for Boareskyr Bridge. It is about seven hours travel, a little west of south from your current position. It is not very far from the city where this all began, Baldur's Gate.
Lawrance remembers a great deal about the serpentfolk, enough that deciding upon what to impart to the others will take some prioritizing.
As to the Serpent Hills, as their moniker suggests, they have been in the metaphorical hands of the serpentfolk, both Naga and Yuanti, for well over a millennium. There are rumors of ruins from other civilizations dotting the area, but reports of such are… unreliable.
Boareskyr bridge as it stands today is unremarkable for anything its inhabitants do or have. It is however the historical site of a rather important battle. A particularly powerful mortal with divine assistance called Cyric and the god Bhaal fought here. Bhaal's destruction at his opponent's hands poisoned the river downstream of the place. Over a hundred and thirty years later, it still bears a trace of befoulment. Cyric in turn claimed Bhaal's portfolio as the new god of Murder, though he was imprisoned shortly afterwards for killing another deity, Mystra. Bhaal was eventually reborn.
Out of Character: Lawrance can draw from either of these sources, and others of the like.
Naga Source 1g
Yuanti Source 6r
These two locations along with almost all of the places you guys have been are marked on the Faerun map listed in my SRD, so far its all been confined to the northwest corner of it. By all means take a look.

Lia shrugs." I still feel the same regarding Taz as Lawrance. Not enough information for me. I will gladly go along with whatever the three of you go with. I'm abstaining again."
She nods at Poljen as he mentions a meeting." I'll be there. It will be good to resolve any issues before we start our next task."

Poljen blinks and turns red and immediately looks to Taz. "My humblest apologies, Taz. I meant no disrespect. I will also vote for your welcome. I am very glad Velon found you and brought you to our side. Please accept my apology when I say I just forgot to mention you when I listed people." He bows to the dragonborn.
Out of Character: : Seriously, I simply forgot to add you to the list, amigo. I am sorry about that oversight.
"I humbly, accept your vote of confidence, Poljen, and Velon. I hope that I can convey the same for the other members, in due time of course," Tazskan replies, to Poljen also with a bow.
" Unless, anyone else has any queries about myself. I will, be in my room readying myself, by quiet reflection, and meditating on task at hand," he adds.
