Once all has been sufficiently dealt with in regard to the mage, Sar'ai gathers her taken belongings and begins to escort the man to the fort when there is a knock at the door of the shop. As the elf enters and inquires of Sar'ai and Elanna, the wizard nods, "We were just headed in that direction. If you would be so kind as to make your way back to Sir Onthar and the others with haste to inform them that we are bringing another prisoner, possibly the head of their little group within the town." The half-drow smiles at the woman, "Oh, do inform Escobert that he may need to send some of his men to secure this." Sar'ai points to the large, purplish crystal sitting in the back of the room.
Once the elf is gone Sar'ai turns to Elanna, who has just been sitting on a table observing this whole time, "Come, Elanna, more of our services are required." She will then head out of the tailor shop toward the fort, keeping the bound mage in front of her while Elanna keeps a steady altitude of about 30' in the air.

Poljen does his best to relate to the birds the idea of, "Bad men, who will kill and destroy and take from this place." He lets the birds see images from his memory of places that have been raided and destroyed, including the battlefield where the Snow Leopards were all but wiped out. "My friends and I wish to keep these bad men from hurting anymore people or animals."
Lia scowls as she realizes that the healer's kit failed to help. " Well, that didn't go as planned. Just a minute Cratol. " She closes her eyes and calls on Sune to heal him. Lia holds her amulet up with one hand and touches Cratol on his shoulder with the other hand. She feels healing warmth pass from her hand into him. Lia smiles at him. " Do you feel better now?"
Specific Action: Cast cure wounds level 1 on Cratol.
Sar'ai departs with the other prisoner, leaving Onwen alone in the shop with the two rune circles and the belongings of its former inhabitants.
Soon enough, she can see the same gathering Lia encountered. People are being issued with bows, and asked to get familiar with the weight and feel of them.

Much of the flock takes to the air, fleeing from the man who "Talked" of bad things. But many remain. A few seem to slowly be getting the idea that Poljen is asking for help.
Onwen watches Sarai leave with her prisoner and then with a small sigh he looks around the room and begins to study the arcane markings left by the mage attempting to discern as much information as he can about the magic that was being formed here.
Onwen studies the two rune circles, one of which was nearly complete, the other had which been complete, but its sigils had then been partly destroyed by an axe blade.
The work is incredibly complex, but in both cases, the circles appear to be made to greatly amplify the effective range of magic items placed within. Additional runework appears made to modify the effect of said items, but precisely how is beyond his knowledge, and it is different for each circle. Based on the activation runes for the first circle, and the dried blood used to write them, Onwen suspects that a humanoid sacrifice was required to activate it, and the same would have been necessary for the other one.
A few minutes into his study, something bumps Onwen on his head. A harp of all things, slowly floating down from the ceiling along with other items that had previously been stuck up there. The musical instrument appears to be magical in nature, and has much in common with the Sleep Spell.

The concept of Poljen seeing through their eyes seems to confuse the birds greatly, a few wander away.
[Sorry to make you jump through so many hoops here Paul, but you're trying to explain things to pigeons, it ain't gonna be simple ]
