"No wonder you are the last of your tribe! If all of your kind were such cowardly leopards afraid to face their foes, it is no doubt they're all dead!"
Out of Character: Nikolaos owes Poljen an apology after the fight. The Dungeon Master said it had to hurt.
Specific Action: cast vicious mockery at Poljen. Dc 14 Wisdom save. If failed will take psychic damage and next attack has disadvantage. Will use warding flare if attacked.
Out of Character: : I just realized something while showering, and can not post again yet in the Q&A Thread. Daishain, if Poljen does not move on his turn due to the Domination, instead acting on the naga's turn, his Rage will drop. He did not suffer any damage after the yuan-ti abomination dropped, and if he does not attack someone or something, the Rage will go away. He does not suffer damage again (At least so far) until Niko Mocks him. So te big question for me is does he obey the naga's commands on his own turn, or the naga's turn?
Velon sees the dark, shadowy sword come right through his shield and his eyes go wide, but it is the necrotic damage burning in his neck that makes him gasp for air once again. He's still confident he is unlikely to shake the shadow or kill it, and tries to focus his energies on the naga once again. He struggles but tries to draw upon his powers of sorcery for the sustained increased speed and agility. Unfortunately the sight of a magical shadowy sword coming through his shield and a demi-god serpent in front of him completely distracts him from what is happening with Poljen.
Out of Character: . Booming blade, concentration save, and then possible hasted attack if Velon saves.
Poljen shakes his head multiple times, getting a maddened look in his eyes. He hears a voice in his head, "Attack the annoying one with the lute." The barbarian looks up and around to one of the more troublesome but vulnerable foes of the naga, Nikolaos. Charging forward, the barbarian swings his axe twice, leaving the bard crumpled on the ground and bleeding. He looks towards Lawrance next, hefting his axe once again.
Meanwhile, Cratol and Perry keep striking at the naga. She is showing signs that the abuse is getting to her.
Darkness suddenly envelops the area the naga is in, plunging those around her into blackness. Cratol can't see it, but can feel that stinger find its mark again, venom once more propagating through his veins.
Lia, Lawrance, Tazskan and Zarra fire into the darkness, but it is difficult for them to say whether or not their shots connected. Velon has an easier time in that regard, perhaps by pure luck, he can feel both of his strikes bite in.
Out of Character: Sorry, but Cratol needs to repeat that Con save. Poljen deals 37 damage in total via his usual axe routine, which I believe is enough to drop the bard. I swear I'm not metagaming here, Niko was the most logical target in that situation. The area covered by the darkness spell is indicated by the field of light grey on the map.
To answer Paul's query, when a dominated person goes depends on how much control is exerted. Had the naga chosen exactly what Poljen would do, he'd be acting on the naga's initiative. Instead, the naga gave a general course of action, and Poljen is forced to obey on his turn. I do wish to somewhat apologize, I know this is a frustrating enemy, but that's how the abilities and fluff work out, this creature divides and degrades its foes, weakening them to the point they can't resist.
