Lia looks at them with sorrow in her eyes." I'm sorry for the evil this creature is doing to our people. We are here to stop it. We will head to the other area and put an end to this menace." Her thoughts flash to Fay and their trip to the forest. She hopes all is well with him and can't wait to see him again.
Out of Character: : Lia should easily outlive all in the party with the exception of Zarra. That's both a blessing and a curse such as in the case with her and Velon.

"The three days may have just been the time it took for someone to realize there was an issue and report back. Or the survivors finally able to make it to another settlement." Addressing the helpful resident, Lawrance asks "How far is it to the that site of the last attack, please? We'd like to investigate it."
Morgaine will stand just off to the side of those that are speaking to the people to gather information. She will still be relaxed but alert.
The group makes it to the other town easily enough. There is little property destruction here, but on the way in, you find the body of a wood elf, laid out in the woods and covered with vines and flowers. Then another, and another. In the town itself, there are still two long and sad rows of bodies being prepared for additional funerals. From the looks of it, there are perhaps twenty survivors out of a community of over a hundred. Most of those still living seem to be quite young.
There is some suspicion when the group arrives, but the locals seem too tired and beaten down to care any more about foreigners in their midst.
The picture painted by the survivors is a grim one. At some time in the night, their sentries were killed before raising an alarm. Someone used magic to encircle the town with force barriers, and then giant plumes of poison gas began to envelop the buildings. A huge green dragon was visible as the source of the poison at times, but mostly it stayed hidden as it spewed death. It had a rider, but none got a clear look at them.
The only reason people lived at all was thanks to the town mage. She managed to erect a barrier of her own, sheltering as many as she could. But only so many could be kept from the gas, and so it was mostly children that she was able to spare, their parents remaining outside.
Tracks of a massive dragon can be found all around the town. Tracing it away from here will be a little more difficult however.
Out of Character: I'll need a survival check to learn more from the tracks.

Lawrance looks appalled at the wanton slaughter of innocents done here and mutters some choice words to himself.
What purpose does this serve other than chaos? Not feeding, not treasure gathering, not conquering - just murder!
Specific Action: History check to aid whomever the Tracker is. (+5 to their roll, if DC15 made.).
