Mari grits her teeth as their escape is blocked. She paces about until she hears Velon's message. The young assassin rejoins the remainder of the group. She looks at Lawrance expectantly now. (Wizard, it is your turn now.)
Lia nods at Velon's command. Then hearing Poljen's response she smirks. (How will that work Poljen? If people start to drop and it's time to go it might be difficult to get everyone to the circle. Not to mention the not so small problem of the dragon possibly joining us.) She shakes her head in irritation. Lia thinks to herself forgetting that the others will pick it up. (Males are stubborn. Especially human males. Can't tell them anything. At least Velon isn't as bad as Poljen.) Realizing her mistake, she blushes brightly.
Lia will keep the tunnel blocked by using the full powers of the cube. When the others are all gone she will approach the circle, drop the force barrier and step through to get away.

Velon hears Lia's slip and silently starts to chuckle a bit, the slight movement of his armor as he does so the only sound. He gets slightly red in the face and bears a smile, glancing at both Lia and Poljen once again, and shrugging his shoulders at the latter. He then abruptly stops and takes a deep breath as he knows the situation is dire.
He uses Message to talk to Lia privately. "Can you tell the castle to leave, ask if they are safe first? Perhaps a prayer to Sune before Lawrance tries this?"
Velon himself takes a deep breath and closes his eyes, praying to Bahamut in his own private way. In that moment he lets his haste spell drop, feeling a wave of exhaustion. After a moment he feels better again and asks Bahamut to protect Lawrance in any way he sees fit. Through His power Lawrance is protected from any attacks for this critical moment.
Out of Character: . Ky, can we get some Sending to tell the castle to leave before the dragon can get to it, and maybe Guidance for Lawrance? Velon can't do much to help here but he'll cast Sanctuary on Lawrance, just for good measure.

Out of Character: - Let's get this show on the magical road, shall we? I'm assuming all the benefits I can, and Dai can remove what doesn't apply.
Lawrance snorts at Lia's unintended broadcast comment and begins the spell casting, with Perry's help. Moving around in the small confines of the cube to lay out the circle, the magic lines sparkle and surge as the scroll's power fills them. Completing the spell, he waits for the bridge to open into Waterdeep. * Be ready to hurry through, as fast as possible! I'll be near the end, and close it once we are all through!*
Specific Action: Reading spell scroll with +8, Aid, Bardic Inspiration and Advantage.

Lia nods and bows her head. She implores Sune to guide their efforts. The beautiful elf reminds Sune of what is at stake. As she finishes her prayers, Lia activates a different face of the cube. It now blocks gas, fog, etc. She summons a mental image of Poppo and says" Flee. We have mask. Dragon is coming. We are trapped but teleporting to Waterdeep. Meet you there." Lia then places her hand on Lawrance's shoulder and offers guidance from Sune." Again, she will drop it after everyone Is gone and step through the circle just before Lawrance.

Considering Poljen, the drow will mentally offer as they prepare to teleport out of there, 'Brave Poljen, I know that you wish to fight and you do make many great points. Yet there too much at risk at this point, particularly with us so cornered. We must retreat to safety for now. Zarra hopes he understands as she steps into the circle, hoping he follows.
Morgaine will state to the others telepathically, I am ready to go. Poljen, I will return with you to take the dragon out, but for now getting the mask out is what is needed. We may even be able to lure her out of her lair and give us the advantage. There is a bit of smile attached to the last statement.
Morgaine will get with the perimeters of the circle that is needed for Lawrence to cast the scroll. She will then go through the portal when instructed to do so, she doesn't wish there to be a mass of people trying to go through all at once which could be disastrous on several fronts.
Poljen keeps his eyes scanning their surroundings, barely acknowledging the words of his companions. He finally snorts aloud then says over the mind-meld network, {WE do not need to leave. Only ONE is needed to take the mask. The rest of us could then press our advantage here. I fear by the time we return, they will all have fled. We will not be as lucky next time we face them.} As the spell ritual is completed he asks, {Do we know if the castle is safe? If the dragon left through the other entrance, she might have seen it and be attacking right now… }
Out of Character: : Was there some talk about putting our own teleport circle in Skyreach? That would be useful…
Poppo responds almost right away, indicating that the castle will start lifting away momentarily. He ends his message with, "Cratol is gone, he insisted on going home alone."
Most of the passage is too narrow for the circle, but Lawrance manages to find an area just wide enough to begin the work. Shortly after he begins, the dragon appears. In human form once more, beautiful and regal in spite of the cramped quarters. Lia's barrier keeps her from interfering, but she watches the group. She says nothing, just coldly observes.
The circle is completed, and a flash of light accompanies the opening of a portal. The dragon finally speaks then, "We will meet again thieves, you can be certain of it. And in the meantime, I shall wreak suffering in your honor."
Lia retreats through, the last of the group to do so, the portal snaps shut just behind her.
The group finds themselves indoors, in a large stone chamber. Wards line the walls, and guards with crossbows man arrow slits. Some kind of tank is suspended from the ceiling, it looks like this area can be flooded within a moment's notice with something rather nasty.
But the guards give you no trouble after confirming that the incoming traffic does not pose an immediate threat. After a few cursory questions and a quick check for contraband, a large door is opened and the group is allowed to exit.
Ascending a staircase, you find yourselves entering a busy street, a few blocks away from Waterdeep's largest marketplace.
