Cratol paces back and forth outside the room listening to the screams and yelling and then Sylmae singing as he waits to see if her brother will come out of this ok. He is in anguish knowing that there is nothing he can do to help but understands that Gaelin is in the most capable hands.
La looks at the half elf in relief. She speaks softly and once again asks Sune to grant her request. A feeling of peace and warmth passes from her hands to the patient." That should do it Lawrence. Well done." She breathes a sigh of relief.
Out of Character: : She cast Greater Restoration to remove any hint of a curse or other condition.

Velon is happily playing along with Perry until he gets to the meat of the fortune. He knows the bard is just messing around, but this "Warlock unknown" gag gives him the chills when he hears the words. When he hears of the crossroads between life and death a very personal matter comes to mind, his own life expectancy versus that of Lia and any thoughts he has had about how he might extend his years to match hers. As Perry says "Most prized" he fears he is about to mention Lia, but then 'material possession' makes him think more of the dragon heartscale gifted to him by Irdeith. Losing it among the buried dead, for some reason, makes him picture the end of this war in a losing effort, the magic of the heartscale fading as the good aligned dragons perish. Suffice it to say the whole fortune ties Velon's stomach in a knot.
The paladin stops laughing or smiling and just gives Perry a cold stare with narrow eyes for an awkward, extended silence as he leans over the table, both of his gauntleted fists pressing down on its surface. He then says in a low voice, almost gritting his teeth "Perry, I know you're just messing around here, right? Tell me you simply made that up out of nowhere."
The last of the blood covered bits of shrapnel gets dropped into the bucket, and Lia finally is able to heal these wounds that Gaelin has been carrying for the past three years.
The young man is still unconscious, and it looks like he will remain that way for a while. So it is difficult to assess his condition.
But Sylmae is all smiles, she hugs Lawrance and Lia both in turn, squeezing as if afraid this was merely a fantasy.
Smiling and returning the hug, Lawrance says to her "We'll need to keep an eye on him until we can be sure there are no permanent effects from his ordeal, but he should be fine." For the next few days, he is put in one of the guest rooms and watched for signs of issues, until he is ready. Lawrance will keep the shards safely in the lab, examining them and trying to determine their properties beyond what has already been discovered.
Tazskan, decides in his spare time to have another scrying attempt, or two?
He will first scry upon the Cyanwrath character, and note his location and surroundings. His approach is neutral, suspicious.
Then, he will scry upon the Gnome illusionist, and determine what danger, if any he is in. His approach to him is friendly.
The same deal as before, done in his own room using a crystal ball. Using his knowledge, passed down by other members of the blaze, that previously encounted him, Cyanowrath that is. The Gnome may be a little more difficult?
Out of Character: Since Dai, mentioned that the player characters have a few days to spare? Shouldn't be a problem, to do scrying twice?
As for side stories, Tazskan would welcome one, but awaits to see what happens here? I've already given an idea to Dai, already about a side story, thats dragonborn related?
Knowing that Gaelin is out of some danger with the shards being removed Cratol will take Sylmae down to get her some food and drink so that she can relax and recover from the ordeal that she has been dealing with some for the past three years. He looks to her and says, "Sylmae I know it is too early to tell but I hope that Gaelin comes out of this as his old self. Not having the shards inside him to cause his personality swings you may soon have your brother back. Even if he is not the same I will still see that he is cared for as he is part of you and that is important to me. I want you to be happy and nothing will change that in my book. I still would love to know you much better as we continue this journey together."
Warlock Unknown stares back deeply into the eyes of the leader of the Silver Blaze, "Perry!?" He scoffs, "There is no Perry here! Your friend has been replaced by none other than WARLOCK UNKNOWN!" Suddenly and without warning, the figure's demeanor and voice changes as he removes his dark shroud, "Velon, you're holding up the line! We have more people waiting for fortunes. Honestly… "Perry looks annoyed, then he gets back under the shroud, "ANYWAY, do not take me for some conjurer of cheap tricks, young Pal-a-deen! The power of WARLOCK UNKNOWN is immeasurable! (Laugh), you shall know the true terror of forbidden knowledge!"
--
As Morgaine arrives, she hears a voice from beneath the dark shroud, "Come come, o battle maiden! Would you like a glimpse into the UNKNOWN?! A portent of an event that shall most certainly come to pass? If so, then pick a card my dear!"
Warlock Unknown smiles wickedly and presents Morgaine with five random cards from the deck, all face down, to choose from.
