Mari slips off like a shadow, faux reptile in hand. Soon enough Perry joins her, and the pair return to where they had left the platform and the others. The young scout is wiggling stubby limbs in a futile effort to get away as they go.
Tazskan, breathes a sigh of relief seeing both Mari and Perry return with a turtle in hand.
"Shall, we all head on back to the castle now,"? He says.
"What about the campsite, should we be spying on that soon,"? He adds.
"His name is Donatello. He has three kids, grew up on the streets of Waterdeep, dreamed of owning a successful bakery/cafe, and uses a stick as a weapon. Anyway, let's go interrogate him," Perry replies to Velon.

Back at the castle, Perry corrals the strong members of the group to help him interrogate this guy. They go to the holding cells and Perry tells them to all get ready to lock him up. Once they are ready, he drops concentrating on the spell and waits for them to lock the guy up.
When the man looks up, he sees a purple tiefling sitting in a chair with one leg crossed over his knee and holding a mandolin that he's tuning. The tiefling says, "You're probably thinking, "Where am I? How did I get here?" Well, that's not important. What is important is that if you answer my questions truthfully, then we might let you live." The tiefling strums the mandolin once and locks eyes with the prisoner, "So answer any questions asked to you truthfully until I say we're finished."
Perry looks to Velon, Poljen, and anyone else to begin asking their questions to the charmed captive.

Mari grins impishly as they rejoin the others." It was too easy. Perry and I make a great team. Next time, maybe we will have a challenge." She watches casually as the interrogation begins.

The captured scout is a gangly human youth, perhaps 17 or 18 years old. Surprisingly, he manages to resist Perry's first attempt at enchantment, but that seems to have been the end of his luck, as he succumbs to both the second Suggestion and Lia's Truth spell.
He's scared, flinching away from Velon, but the magic he is under compels him to answer the question, "I wanted the chance to kill my father, so volunteered to help a raid on the stronghold where he worked. It… wasn't as satisfying as I'd hoped."
