Velon is sorry to hear that the boy doesn't know where his sister is and tells him to think on where she may have gone and how he'd like to try to find her after the battle is over. At that they have him locked up and let Captain Callahan decide if he can spare a man for guard duty or not during the attack.
Velon reminds Poppo and the crew not to fly over or even too close to the maze as the full extent of the anti magic field's ability to bring down the castle is likely not fully understood. They are to assault the main camp and any fleeing soldiers in the best way they can manage, surely via dropping as much stone as possible but also potentially with the ballista. If any casters emerge, they could take special care to target them, or flee if necessary if the castle is at risk. He asks Poppo and the Captain to keep an eye on the sky for dragons or other allies of the enemy as well, a task that may be well suited for castle staff not inclined towards fighting in any way.
If Taz will allow, leaving Amabalis behind as a way of communicating consistently with the castle is an excellent idea. Velon hopes to time an attack on a patrol with the appearance of the castle, the castle moving in at incredible speed but slowing greatly to drop the stone. Hopefully it could make several passes, and it could potentially spin as needed to launch stone or fire ballistas off different sides as needed.
After that, Velon joins the others as they descend back into the forest to prepare their portion of the attack. If this needs to be far away to remain hidden as they did the first time, Velon may suggest the platform be raised again. It could then be lowered to near where their attack on a patrol is planned, roughly where they took the prisoner previously. Whatever option will keep the platform nearby for any need to escape once they have engaged the enemy.
Out of Character: . I imagine at this point there has been much discussion and training between Poppo, Lawrance, the Captain and the soldiers and castle staff in preparation for such a bombing run over recent weeks.
I also have no idea how well this castle moves, such as how easily it can reverse direction for a second bombing run or how easily it can move in a tight circle, etc.
Morgaine will prepare for the assault upon hearing the others talking outside. She will join the group on the ground and wait for further instructions as so how best to take out the enemy.
Poljen says, "The patrols searching the woods will be hard to predict. So we should prepare to ambush the one doing a perimeter sweep." The big barbarian moves to a position where he can surprise the patrol about the time the castle will commence its attack run.
"Dont worry, I will have Amabalis keep a watchful eye, on the castle,” Tazskan answers.
”Any attack from the air I will be the first to know, he will scout arround it, underneath, and above it,” he continues.
”Can we camoflage the platform, with shrubs and the like,”? He Adds.
Lawrence ponders the information gleaned from the boy. “This roaming patrol seems our best target, if we need one once the rocks start falling. This army can’t be filled with superior warriors at least, so the patrol may only take moments to stop. I wish we could get close to identify leaders and leave the rank and file alone. Who knows how many stories like the boy’s are in their ranks? Either way, I have various area of effect spells that should prove handy, just call out where you want them. “.

Lia hides along with the others awaiting the patrol. She expresses her concerns quietly to the others." This isn't as easy as it seems. The patrol should be easily defeated. The problem is their horses. We must stop any of them from getting away. One riderless horse seen by the enemy could bring their entire army down upon us Stop the horses." She checks the bow string on her oath bow and awaits the patrol.
Mari works into an ambush position as well. She crouches down with her twin blades readied. The young rogue hopes to strike before any of the patrol is aware of their presence.
