Cratol thinks to himself as all the talk keeps going back and forth. Finally he speaks up, "I rather like the sound of the silver wayfarers it is a good name and one that we all can adapt to. We are not well known heroes but we are a bit known and we have completed a few tasks."
Cratol goes back to his water as he continues to listen to them all.
Out of Character: Cratol has not been with the group from the start but he has been with them for a bit. HE does not view himself as a leader and is more of the reserved type. He is not one to always react to flirting but he does know that many view him as different for he is a half breed.
Lia sits there just listening to the conversation. She continues to drink her Elven wine. It might take all night to work out a name with such a big group. At least they had moved on from the Deathslayers for the moment. Hearing Cratol speak up about the Silver Wayfarers she puts her drink down.
She waits until no one is speaking then begins. " My friends, I feel that the Silver Wayfarers is a very good name for our group. We have all made a point to have silvered weapons which is unusual. Why not use that distinction in our name? We aren't all barbarians here. " She winks at Poljek. " There is nothing wrong with a refined, classy name for our group. A name like this would distinguish us from the more… vulgar names used by other groups. We aren't a group that just relies on brute strength. Some of these names sound like they are from Orc warbands. We are more than that. Those are my thoughts on the matter. " Lia sits back smiling and looks at the others.
A few notes.
-The Targul's Terrors is an interesting idea, but as others pointed out, it would be difficult to maintain such a ruse. Too many obviously refined and intelligent individuals. Not to mention only a few people in the group have reason to put up with the deception. The basic idea may work, but you will likely need a more appropriate seeming figurehead.
-Someone mentioned not knowing the relationship with the harpers. All I specifically have in mind is that they're for one reason or another willing to hire the group on for a dangerous mission. In part because we have several harper agents in play, the relationship can easily be deeper than that, but such is your choice, just let me know what you have in mind and I'll work it in.
-In regards to the Lich survivors idea. That could work. This is in many ways a land of heroes. The elimination of such a threat is no small thing, and a tale of sacrifice in that pursuit would resonate with the Harpers and others. Even while recognizing that the group's strength is greatly diminished, many would be inclined to honor those that legitimately bear the name.
-The simple story of banding together to deal with a local necromancer threat is also compelling. It would certainly catch the attention of others.
-In regards to the name debate, perhaps something found in between the wayfarers and the deathkillers is in order? I was considering naming the group the Silver Griffons just to have something to call the group until you picked your own name. Would something like that appeal? Both elegance and power to be found behind such an image.

Poljen frowned slightly. "I do not mind having Silver in the name. Yes, many of us wield silvered weapons. So perhaps we can call ourselves the Silver Warriors. Or the Silver Dragons. Of even the Silver Blades." He then proceeded to drain his pitcher and signal the barkeep for another.
Onwen sits sipping a glass of mulled wine and refrains from rolling his eyes at the debate what a waste of time and effort he thinks as the other party members go back and forth on the name they're starting to sound like nobles with thier fancy titles and important sounding names. He smiles, putting on an engaged front for the group. "Names can be very powerful" he says "It can define a group in subtle and no so subtle ways, weaving arcane threads among the members of a group and binding them together." Unless interrupted Onwen launches into an intellectual dissertation regarding the sociological and anthropological aspects of naming and its place among various cultures as well as how names can be utilized in certain arcane rituals and spells. He fails to actually give an opinion on which name the group should adopt though.

Pol's and Lia's suggestions of naming their little group were becoming amusing; Pol getting visibly frustrated, perhaps more then intended, at not having a "Stronger" sounding name was interesting and Lia's apparent infatuation with silver in the name was something of a bemusing quirk. Sar'ai had always worked in secret and would never consider blatantly touting herself a part of any "Hero guild". But, seeing the group toss about names, and not wanting to appear completely uninterested tossed one herself, "What about, Champions of Silver-Blood?"
Feeling pleased with her input, the half-drow smiled, sat back and listened to the party debate some more.
Out of Character: Sar'ai uses flirtatious behavior combined with her magic as a means to an end, so she'd definitely be one to be more "Forward" but mainly to get what she wants.
As far as a "Leader", Sar'ai is very capable when it would come to talking and even persuading others, though she is not one to blindly follow others and thus would not expect the same for her. For an "Outward appearance" she could easily fill this role, though she would prefer the group be democratic in decision making. Heck, she even be up for a flat out vote for a de facto leader.
.
Out of Character: I like the necromancer idea. He or she was raising a threat outside of town, starting up a small death cult, and we put the kibosh to it. We are heroes to the town, but relatively unknown after traveling more than a few days away.
As for the name: Cahleth sits back, letting everyone give their two cents, even nudging the quieter members of the group to get them to speak up. He clears his throat, then pauses for effect once everyone has turned his way.
He leans in and asks, "How about the Silver Silence? Hear me out now. Lia makes a good point, we all carry silver weapons because we are no fools, we know what treachery this realm may throw our way. And while we do offer plenty of brute strength (Glances at Targul and Poljen), we are also tactful and wise (Nods the way of Onwen, Zunadae and others).
The silence might be our best weapon. We silence our foes. We silence tyrants. We silence fear itself."
With that, he leans back in his seat and adds, "The name also offers some mystery. Perhaps we would be wise not to have every barmaid and fish monger this side of Red Larch gossiping about a bunch of fresh adventurers fancying themselves as griffons or slayers of death. We can position ourselves more like operatives, and less like thugs for hire."
