While we're discussing rules…
I've been wondering if I could cast Green Flame Blade twice in a turn by spending sorcery points. Looks like I could do it with Quickened Spell. Daishain would you say that you cannot use Twinned Spell with Green Flame Blade on a single target attack because it has the option of fire damage jumping to another target? It seems that way. Perhaps I should pick up Booming Blade for this purpose since that only ever damages one target.
For reference:
Twinned Spell
When you Cast a Spell that Targets only one creature and doesn’t have a range of self, you can spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spell’s level to target a second creature in range with the same spell (1 sorcery point if the spell is a cantrip).
To be eligible, a spell must be incapable of targeting more than one creature at the spell’s current level. For example, Magic Missile and Scorching Ray aren’t eligible, but Ray of Frost is.
Okay, one last question… knowing what Fay knows oh all knowing Dungeon Master, and also knowing that he knows he's probably headed north following this army, would he know that there are a fair number of places where this spell would be worthwhile? And yes, Fay is very much leaning towards this spell.
Daishain,
Fay has been updated.
Team,
For everyone's information, when he provides an inspiration die it is now a d8 rather than a d6. Also, he now regains them after a short rest. Fay can provide this three times before a short rest. Remember, you can use your die for an ability check, attack roll, or saving throw and you can wait until after you roll your d20 but it has to be before the Dungeon Master posts the results.
I do not have a rule book here at work, but form what I have looked at online it appears I get a boost to HP, which I will roll here, another 10 feet of movement if not wearing heavy armor, the Proficiency Bonus increase and the extra attack. This should be easy enough to do.
