Hopefully it can't breathe acid again. Poljen can soak up a lot of normal damage. It might be better to finish destroying the eggs and run. If that thing can keep spewing acid like that every turn I don't think this turns out well. That thing is really hard to hit with normal attacks. That acid is auto damage every turn. I can pour all of Lia's resources into healing and can't keep up with that kind of damage. Im willIng to try whatever the group wants though.

Out of Character: Yes, spreading out will slow it down but it won't end the threat. It'll take one of us out at a time with that kind of damage. Just one or two hits per person. We need to figure something else out.

Does this thing have the intelligence for Vicious Mockery to work? How about Dissonant Whispers? I'm not sure about how they work in this edition. Hell, would fay even know? If you don't think he would know don't answer but I'll be trying DW next round. I'm going to wait to post for a bit to see if Paul does.

There are hundreds of eggs, and they're immune to the only aoe damage spell you have on hand (Onwens lightning bolt) I can assure you dealing with the guardian would be faster, not that such is going to be easy.

Of course, you could always retreat now, come back later on a little more prepared.

Edit, Fay would be aware that Stalkers, while limited in intellect compared to their forebears, are sapient creatures and quite cunning in their own right. Either spell should work.

I would suggest all of our combat heroes charge into melee if we get it on the ground *wink* If we can get it to make normal attacks that would help. As long as we sit back it will pick us off one by one. Also, hopefully that would spread the damage around some.
Lia wants to let Geoffroy know that we need help but she is taking some time to get free. Plus it is hard to give up an turn now for help four or five turns away. Healing word won't cut it with this kind of damage.

If the spell Fay is about to cast works and it doesn't make its save we will have a chance to retreat, take a short rest, and come back to kill this thing. This spell forces it to retreat.

I will post in an hour or so when I get to work. Poljen's Rage went down with him, so he has one left. But for now have him get into cover for one more round of healing. He will fire his bow. But before I go further I want to check on something. If this round he uses his Bonus to Rage, then next round moves to the wall and uses his Bonus Dash for the rest of the climb, will he be able to melee attack in that same round? If not,his Rage would drop again…
