She is not quite beyond saving. But she is beyond being capable of answering that question. Even if her lungs were working properly, her consciousness is faded past the point of being able to hear Elyria.
If you want to know whether her brush with death forced a change of heart, you'll first need to spend a fair amount of effort bringing her back from that brink.

Hmm, I will edit my post then for the squire to notice this and request that Lia at least stabilize the sorceress.
There is the cantrip Spare the Dying that could help in allowing such I suspect, if it was used. I will save part of the post and wait to provide it perhaps, or have it that such is only said if agreed.
I'll be honest, I believe the most likely outcome is that Miruvial won't accept the terms. That in her pride, she will refuse thus leaving for judgement to be cast and her live ended. I'm mainly doing this so as to have a character development moment.

If Sar'ai kept going, assuming she didn't stop even after Elanna informed her that the situation appears to have been handled, is it safe to assume she has made it back to the caravan by now?

Well now, that ended things quickly. Still, I accomplished what I wanted to do so I can't complain too much. I admit, I was hoping a bit more would have come from the situatiin, but honestly I wasn't expecting anything else then what happened.
Indeed, its probably for the best though, I'd have had a lot of fun if she'd lived Some variation on this outcome did seem the more likely result, but I had plans either way.
I do have to say, I expected the main thread to blow up after that last post. Are you guys waiting for something?

In spite of all the people smacking him over the head, or attempting to at any rate, Poljen took a total of 34 damage in that fight, leaving him with 18 left.
Barbarians, those bandits would've had a much easier time bringing down a brick wall…
In any case, the expected average of 3 of your hit dice would eliminate almost all of that damage.
