Don't forget that the same is likely true if the sister gets petrified. The problem with that is that means that the gorgons are free from the barrier, which would be very bad for us all.

Well there doesn't appear to be a consensus. What a surprise with the Silver Blaze. I think it is extremely dangerous to stay and fight but it's up to everyone to act as their character would. If a character or characters die the player can always roll new ones. Hopefully we don't get a TPK. That would put a damper on things.

Poppo is in a tough spot. He sees the wisdom of retreating but he is trying to prove himself to the group. Being only one a few who retreat would make him look like a coward. He'll go if the group leaders call a retreat otherwise he'll battle on.
