Knight, there will be other chances for loot, and to be fair, a good chunk of that loot came from the death of a party member.

MW weapons work like with the 3.5e version, its a +1 bonus to hit but not damage. I have not yet come up with a bonus for MW armor that I'm happy with, aside from price and being a bit more difficult to destroy, its just ornamental for now.

As to your hirelings, I've got you set up with three bog standard NPC grunts. Enough to keep you from getting killed by lowly goblins, but not really "Tangle with a troll" material. I went ahead and waived the cost for those. You can get more talent out of them, including specialists such as another spellcaster, but you'll need to pony up some money for the upgrade. A lot of money if building a serious team. Just let me know the kind of guys you're willing to pay for, I'll worry about the details.

Chuckles, I'm almost regretting Zarra's focus being that on using the hand crossbow. This, because of there is a lot of nice loot for those that make use of a bow. The only item that would be of any interest to her would be the Quiver of Ehlonna, since this item can hold sixty bolts but admittedly this item may be more useful for someone else.

I'll see about making reply for Zarra soon, I just have to do something else first.

Oh, I'm not too concerned about loot. It's the fun I seek in playing. As far as the escort team goes, it's not likely I'd have more than a couple of skilled melee types, as I was not expecting battle. Let's go with three 2gp per day types in addition, whatever levels that would be. Maybe a healer would be in my budget, but I don't have a cost chart for a 2nd or 3rd level cleric. My character is rather frivolous about costs, when it comes to acquiring knowledge. Filling my spell book is more important than eating, sometimes.

How is everyone wanting to divide the loot? The only thing that Lia would be interested in would be the oath bow and the Bracers of Archery. Is anyone else interested in those? She would also like a potion of healing for the next time she is out of spell slots. Thomas, the bracers of archery give proficieky in long bows. The only negative to her using a long bow is that sneak attack only works within 30 feet and it's much easier to try to hide a hand crossbow than a large longbow.

I do not think there is anything there for Cratol to be able to use. IF he can have the bag of gems he will be happy.

I think everyone should take a potion. Never know who will fall in battle and who will be nearby to administer the potion either is holding.

I'd never say no to a bag of holding, but most interesting is the spell slot ring. Velon would likely use it for smiting or twinned healing spells. I'll check his gear list versus any of the masterwork armor or weapons but I think he's pretty good there.

With regard to gold I say we just split it up evenly, but am not too concerned. If we find a pile of a few thousand I may suggest that those who purchased the scroll for the group recover that cost, but now is not the time and it may also spark debate.

Well in regards of Zarra using a bow, the Quiver of Ehlonna actually provides a slot that can store a bow so perhaps what was mentioned by Kyrroeth that is easier to hide a hand crossbow might not be as much of a concern. Shrugs

If no one else wants it I guess I could have Zarra take it. I would then just need to get her a bow to use it with. Of note though, the Quiver of Ehlonna doesn't make mention of what sort of bow it can store simply that the largest compartment can hold such along with spears and staffs.

I'm simply on my break, but on my way home I'll see about making a few replies.

Poppo would like to get the spellbook and a couple of potions to replace the ones he used to help Mari and Velon. He's more likely to be the one administering them anyway as a support character. With dimension door in his arsenal, he can get around faster at this point as well. The bag of holding is always cool but others can get just as much use out of that.
