If we are needing eyes in the sky, there is still Elanna. Unless there was something I missed about needing to scout farther then 100'.
Of course Elanna could just fly as far we need her to and come back and once within 100' of me can relay information.
I know this sounds like a bit of power-gaming, but could Poljen use the Beast Sense on Elanna, so we have the long-distance range of the spell with a very willing animal? I don't feel totally comfortable with the idea, but wanted to broach it.
I think that'd be a cool thing if possible, though I don't know if there are restrictions on beast sense with conjured creatures that aren't really animals. She's technically a fey creature.
Aside from that, I think your only obstacle then would be to convince Sar'ai.
.
Yeah, wouldn't work. Editions prior to this categorized familiars as magical beasts, which beast sense wouldn't work on. While they used to be ordinary animals, they weren't anymore. 5E took it a step further, changing them into spirits that could assume the form of animals. Frankly I'm not a fan of the newer version, but either way a spell that is restricted just to beasts doesn't apply.
That said, yes, Elanna could easily scout far afield. But she'll need a flight plan.
