Too bad we don't know any higher level Circle of the Moon Druids. A 10th level Druid can wildshape into an elemental all day. After they are worn down from powering the ship they revert to normal form then wildshape into a full strength elemental again. Problem solved *wink*.

3rd level: Melf's Minute Meteors, Fly, Lightning Bolt, Sleet Storm, Stinking Cloud, Tongues
4th level: Storm Sphere, Fire Shield, Control Water, Hallucinatory Terrain
5th level: Conjure Elemental, Cloudkill.

I had been wanting to just tackle a caster with the stone on. Cool of the Dungeon Master to allow it to work so effectively. He easily could have pushed for a tougher fight once in the room I’m sure.

How long, does it take to learn one of the spells, from your newly aquired spell book? Like Witches bolt?

As for animating the dead, I'm with Zarra not a fan with necromancy as it commonly associated with evil, and vampires.
However, as a practicioner of the Warlock pact, you are often required to fight fifire with fire. So, sure why not, there are white warlocks also.
