I'll see about making a post in just a moment though I would like to offer that even though I accidentally put down Sense Motive… I meant for that those skill checks to be Insight.

Given how Zarra does have proficiency and expertise in Insight rolls, it should mean she can be able to tell whether or not a party member is lying. Unless the Dungeon Master says that she sees anything suspicious I don't see it out of hand for her being willing to give the tiefling bard a chance.

Particularly since she herself is a drow, originally distrusted by the party. She'd be able to understand the position that Perry is in.

I heard the diameter of the circle was 120 feet, (Laugh)! Can't we just use the whole courtyard?!?

I never mentioned the diameter of the 'magic circle', but I'd usually make something like that a good 200 feet across. The courtyard of the castle or even the area just outside it should be big enough.

I feel it appropriate to remind people at this time that if attacking with a melee weapon, and you down your opponent, you can always choose to make the strike nonlethal and simply knock them out rather than risking their death.

Yes let it be said that any and all melee damage from Velon is nonlethal here. I'm not sure if Smite overkill or something could kill someone via magic. It would take a ton to go that far past zero I'm sure.
