It'd have been nice to be able to summon a Marut for this, but that's well above Lawrance's pay grade. No easy way out, for this party! I wonder, does a Marut's purview extend to those who resurrect, or just those who keep their bodies going? After all, it's a whole new body, just the soul gets transplanted *smile*.
We do have the Contact Other Plane scroll we found earlier. I was thinking we could try that but after you level up once more so you can keep it in your spellbook. I really like this idea overall.
Otherwise, I'm not sure it's wise to fight Diderius without a full party unless we are really smart on tactics. We might be able to try a grapple with Poljen while I use the Silence field to limit his spellcasting. But if we wait too long it could give the Naga enough time to resurrect or Varram enough time to recover.
Maruts will go for ressurectors as well, they're concerned with the soul, not the body.
That said, a few ressurections here and there isn't worth their attention, it's the guy churning them out by the dozens who gets a visit.
I hate to do this. But did we really notice what 'Cratol' said after the transfer? First, the Silence Spell was up. Perry dropping it prior to the exchange is a bit fortunate. Because my initial reaction is for Poljen to simply try to smash the globe/heart since obviously Cratol was unable to. And if the Silence spell was working, none of us would know anything, since Cratol's comments would go unheard. So for everyone else to realize and take specific actions seems a bit contrived…
For all I know having Poljen smash the globe (If even possible) will move Cratol into Poljen, and Poljen into the globe. Maybe it will just leave Diderius in Cratol… no idea…
Yeah I thought about that too, but, if I'm playing Perry realistically, as soon as Perry saw Poljen decapitate Diderius, he would've dropped the Silence spell I think. It does mean it was a "Wasted" spell slot overall though AND that Craterius can potentially cast spells at us now. Good times.
I was just wondering, how long do the spell casters need to rest inside Lawrences tent? Are we all still uncoordinated, helpless for an hour or more?
Can Tazskan see what's transpired through his pseudodragon, or is he pretty much to spaced out, to make head, or tail?
