Yup. And also more likely to cover multiple foes, even if it only does half-damage. Poljen has great respect for the practitioners of the arcane arts. But since he needs to actually hit to do any good, he goes Reckless… despite the cost. Thank goodness for that Damage Reduction he gets for mundane attacks…

I also can't wait for him to find out a pretty warrior woman will see him in action. He will try to put on a good show!

Nah, he might last a minute solo, but he has great faith in the team coming fro the outside. He just hopes they prioritize the money guy. He will even be thrilled if he goes down during the fight so he misses the group saving his bacon. If they get their new source of intell, he won't care at all about being dropped by a pack of losers.

At this point I'm less worried about him dying, or the rampant party splitting, and more about the copious murder that's about to happen in the streets. Hopefully it is called self defense, not just legally but for the reputation of the Blaze.

Even the Flaming Fist knows this is a set-up! They might get there before too many of the thugs go down. And Poljen has no intention of hitting downed opponents. They're just hired muscle who don't know any better. He would consider letting them live to be going easy on them. Again, it all comes down to that one target… this is Poljen's first, and probably last, contribution to the strategic thinking of the party. Every other time he has offered a plan, the group has gone a different route. If it fails, he certainly won't try anything like it again… the trap that is. Odds are he'll still visit the Swan sometime…
