I actually agree with letting the barbarian have his fun. At one point I considered having Penelope try some deception or charm shenanigans, but thought it made for a better story if Poljen led the charge on this one. She's hogged enough of the spotlight lately.
However, I do see how this entire situation could end very poorly, (Laugh). I just hope no one gets killed here.
Paul, I wasn't 100% sure what the best course of action was. I could've tried to charm the leader into giving up info, but thought it was just safer to go the turtle route so we can decide what to do with him later.
I thought the leader wasn't actually in the group? Did I miss a Dai post about seeing the leader somewhere? If so, I'm still eager to learn how far away the castle is from the fight.
[Never mind], just saw the post after reading back.
Dont forget Poljen is not currently on his own in this situation. There's Perry, Velon, Tazskan, Zara and even Cratol's not far away either.
Of course, none of us want a bloodbath, in the streets, and players ending up in jail. As far as Tazskan's concerned, Poljens part of the team, its more about watching each others back.
Why not let the snow leopard have some fun?
Taz went to the town with Zarra but rented a room not too far away from the Swan to scry from. I was confused as to how Lawrance was watching from the castle, but didn't care enough to argue and chalked it up to "A wizard did it."
EDIT Taz calls it out on page 967.

Hopefully its not to late for the others, to come to Poljen's location? To tell you the truth, Seath in this situation I'm not 100% sure who the bad guys are yet?
I know the Harper's are good, also the local equivalent of the police, the Flaming fist, who just want to keep the trouble off of the streets. But its the Zhent's, rogue pirates, and Tiamat follower's, we need to worry about.

He's not alone! He's got Captain Callous-hands, Poppo, Niko and Niko's mum, that lady in the kitchen who makes cheese pastries, and, uh, Lia probably. You could always go visit Varram, he's always real peach to talk to.
