The commander has three quarters cover (+5 to AC and Dexterity saves) vs the people on the walls. You can see him well enough to line up a shot, but will have a hard time not hitting someone else first. Lia, with the sharpshooter feat, gets to ignore that.
I should also note before it comes up that the storm lizard isn't considered a beast. (Ie the kind of creature that speak with animals actually works on).

Thanks for the clarification.
I have one spell slot left for another Hail of Thorns. Can take aim at Cyranwrath and one of his adjacent minions.
My gut tell me tt's not going to be enough damage to drop him. Or, should we hold fire and see what happens?
Cahleth should be aware that this fight is far from over. I would think he'd be quite reluctant to spend his last spell for the day so soon into it unless he was very sure it would have an impact on the outcome.
Just a thought.
I thought Cyanwrath was glowing as well? At least last I read he was, as well as the remaining storm lizard and some other lakeys.
The two storm lizards and a few lackeys were hit by faerie fire, but not Cyanwrath.
You might be thinking of the first paragraph. But it was Poljen who was mentioned as glowing, and that with Sanctuary rather than faerie fire.

Indeed, its a matter of luck, and even without hitting much, Lia has had a significant impact on this fight.
As a suggestion, It would help to avoid using the power shot feature on things with particularly high defense unless you have advantage, otherwise the damage bonus doesn't outweigh only rarely scoring a hit.
In any case, I have round 4 actions for Geoffroy, Cahleth, Poljen, Lia, Cratol, and Targul. Will wait until morning for the rest.
