Gknight, you took care of a lot of selling last time. Just doing some housekeeping here and I believe I neglected to remove at least some of the items below from Velon's inventory. Didn't we sell the Blood rod, etc.? I found a list on page 735 but these were not included.
Boy there's got to be a good use for that Coin of Apparent Value. Let's find a rich/evil merchant and convince him to give all of his assets to an alternate Perry persona in exchange for it!
------------
Holding for Group
------------
Potion of climbing
Potion of diminution
Potion of water breathing
Blood magic rod (Attunement required)
Coin of apparent value
Quaals Feather Token
+1 Splint Mail
*I'm quite confident we did not sell the (Seers Tabac x 2) as these items could be very useful for us and we should remember to use them at some point.
Here is my updated shopping list, then Perry.
Scholars pack - 34 gold.
Necklace of adaption - 1275 gold.
Driftglobe - 638 gold
Helm comprehend languages - 425 gold
Total = 2,372 gold.
Disregard the potion of poison resistance, and telepathic enhanced crystal ball. Edited: anronrosby on 29th Jun, 2018 - 5:37am
Well at the very least, I can see about her getting the Boots of Elvenkind for 2125 gold.
Could probably use some additional arrows and extra healing potions. Maybe I can get some potions of invisibility?
Chuth's mental influence has been brought up a few times. I should note that the group has been given no reason to think that the effect is that strong.
Charm "Just" makes the subject perceive someone like a very close friend, family, a beloved ruler, or even a personal lover. As with Lia, you might hand a possession to a friend on request, but chances are you won't attack another friend, certainly not without hesitation.
Not that protecting yourself from it is a bad idea, its still a powerful effect, but Poljen/Velon are unlikely to be coerced into attacking the group.
Well, unless one of the pair casts Domination, but I'm not going to confirm whether or not that have that available. Edited: daishain on 29th Jun, 2018 - 5:03pm
Dai, I'm running on the idea that Lawrance was unable to Dispel what is normally a simple Charm. No need to reveal what's behind the curtain *smile* Lawrance couldn't get rid of the effect, therefore it MUST be powerful! Also, there is nothing saying that she doesn't have a similar hold over the Prince, and that he isn't really a bad guy, but still. Edited: Gknightbc on 29th Jun, 2018 - 5:28pm
Yup, I'll all for Giant Ape AND Earth Elemental, but only after the Prince is down so as not to just counterspell all of our good spell slots. The EE might be up early to tunnel in if they hide in their hole though, of course. That's certainly its main function.
(Will take the rest of the planning back to in-character stuff, but wanted to share the enthusiasm for using these creatures!).
