In response to Paul's query: The lower portion of the cave is below the water level of the river, and would get flooded without the water ward. The upper portion of it, including the main lair, won't even get damp.
That particular ward won't do anything if you just pass it by. And yes, the Alarm presumably behaves as described.
In any case, for anyone who failed the save, for the next hour, random phantasms drawn from your character's own thoughts and fears start gathering at the edge of their vision, and threaten to distract. Roll a d10 whenever you take an action, on a 3-10, you behave as intended, on a 2 the action simply fails, on a 1 it backfires somehow (IE an attack might target the wrong person).

Daishain, will a lesser or greater restoration cure it once we are aware of the condition? This really frightens me to say the least. Some of us roll a lot of ones. I would hate to roll a 1 or 2 on a critical round. Lia plans on healing a party member but instead heals Chuth *wink*.
Damn it all, the dragoness prepared this time around… Perhaps we should have just had one leave with the mask and everyone else stay behind to fight.
Yet it is too late now, maybe we will just have to deal with the effect as we can't afford to waste the spell slots, at least not to cure everyone of the effects.
Now here's another question - would a Guidance or Bardic Inspiration be able to buffer that 1 in 10 chance? "Sune's pure light reveals that you are about to fireball your own party and you miraculously avoid tragedy!"
