Perry, in-character, doesn't really care about this whole drama to be honest. He doesn't have the history of issues with Cratol that the others seem to. To him, this is kind of like when you were younger and stayed over at a friend's house then your friend gets yelled at by their parents and you're just standing there awkwardly.
I'm sure I can figure out some way for him to provide input on this whole situation, but it's probably going to be silly.
And KN, I have to call [..] on your remark about how you have a life and don't sit at a computer all day, etc. First of all, we all have lives and jobs and kids and such. And we are not asking you to post all the time. But for something crucial regarding your being in the game at all I think we can expect a bit of urgency on your part.
And finally, you are one of the top posters on this whole bloody site! You frequently are near the top! Your account says you have posted almost 5% of ALL the posts on this site. If you have time to run your game, post in all sorts of other threads and so on, I think you can squeeze in a few minutes to post about something critical for your character and game status.
And I did yesterday and waited a bit for replies to reply to. But I did not see any for close to an hour before I had to go back to real life. I am at times a top poster but still under 10 posts a day which is a far cry from where I used to be.
We can still hash things out here if you so desire. I can tell you Cratol has always thought he was a team player most everything he has done was for the silver blaze and he feels that he is still a part of them. He just felt like he needed to leave for a bit to get his head straight and try to figure out why he was getting the strange looks like he was some one working against the group when all he wanted to do was help. Ask him anything here and he will answer.
KN, I think the biggest thing folks are looking for is an earnest apology for Cratol's behavior, a promise that he will open up more to the team, and a willingness to improve in role-play. Excuses about sleep cycles and whatnot aren't going to win anyone over to be honest. If you are big enough to admit those things out of character, then I think people would be more willing to give Cratol another shot.
Cratol is wanting to open up more to the group he was willing to try to open more when he was stiill there that is why he went out to the battlements more then once a day or even walked them a lot. Noone approached him really. He has learned that communication is a must and he will be more open as he is learning to be out in the world more and more. He can still be quiet but a lot of that is when he is thinking about things. If you ask him a question he may think about it for a little bit as he wants to give a good answer and not seem un-knowledged on some things. He will talk to people and be open and honest.
KN, your last post seems to be going in the right direction as it describes willingness to improve on Cratol’s part. My concern, however, is that it still seems like you want all of the other players to do the work here. You want us to go to him on the battlements. You want us to ask Cratol questions. Will Cratol take the initiative to talk if we let him come back, or do we still have to go searching for him somewhere? Will he come to dinner, or will he still be playing hide and seek? If I post that Velon addresses the group are you going to immediately post “Cratol still wasn’t there” again? You can’t have your character concept be “I role play nothing except perhaps storming off and the other players have to do the rest of the work.” Velon doesn’t have questions for Cratol. Velon is done with Cratol. You and Cratol have to do the work to get Cratol back into the group. It will not be on us.
Hopefully this dialogue continues. And yes, I'd hoped to mostly hash this out in here, though some in character work is needed as well.
Lia, yes, that's just fine. The magic for that thing is in the arrowhead, its just the rather ordinary arrow shaft that broke.
