Okay I have triple checked everything, it looks like my solution would work, as could Seath's. The one presented by Knight however fails for the reason mentioned. Unfortunately that is the one that was presented in the thread. Sorry but I think it's time to move this along.

Okay, but we still get two out of three. We should get the key, but no further information. I can live with that. I would like to thank all the puzzlers who worked so hard on that stuff. You all did far better than I did in my meager musings.

And I just noticed that the most recently edited version is correct. Knight, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume that's what you meant if you say as much.

Heck, I wrote down the wrong thing several times myself, and I was only writing a small part of it.

Is that the case?

If not please change it back.

Yeah, I reviewed what I did on paper (Wanna see the scribbles? It's ugly) and realized I had copied the wrong move. This is what happens when the PCs are smarter than the player. Sorry it's delayed everyone's need for progress.
