Theaton will agree to go exploring with you. He likes to get out and see the countryside and know that the areas around our settlements are doing fine and no creatures that could possibly harm our people are present.
Theaton agrees with the improvements that are being made.
Considering the Taxation Edict is set to none, the citizens are very happy to give Archival whatever excess consumables and goods they produce. Caelum suspects a couple of citizens hoarded their excess, but it would be hard to punish them with taxes set to zero. Plenty is collected for the leaders and advisers to eat and some can be distributed to the poorest and most vulnerable. A great haul of stone also comes in.
Rolled 43. Divide by 3 = 14. Add 1 for quarry = 15 BP earned
Out of Character: I tried to demonstrate how busy the first month was, that everyone had to be employed to make laws and talk to citizens. But when you state it that way, even if you didn't help him, he would've passed the craft DC if I remember correctly. So I guess you do already have the Lyre.
Answer 1 - Under Settlements and Districts, under Construction it says the benefits are immediate. That can be justified by these not being decisions made on the spur of the moment, but rather planned for months and probably started a while back.
Answer 2 - It was intended to make the Mine, Quarry and Sawmill (And originally Farm, but not anymore) exclusive to each hex. The other improvements can be built around one of those three. Settlements are their own separate set of rules, so you can build improvements with settlements.
To clarify even further, improvements are exclusive by name, so you can't build multiple farms, roads, aqueducts, etc. Connecting improvements connect all sides of the hex to all other sides. For example a road curving from NE to SE will automatically connect to a road built in the hex to the W.
I will wait for Aericsteele's rolls to see how far the rumour about the currency went. No rush though, I'm running low on free time.

Mykael utilizes any available guards and militia to make a show of force as it were to discourage unrest and attempt to maintain stability in the face of the situation with the currency devaluation
Out of Character: : I'm hoping that I'm rolling correctly; for the stability check it is just a d20 modified by Mykael's strength modifier, correct?
Out of Character: It's actually the kingdom's stability modifier (Which has your strength included), which is viewable under the GM character's home base, or in the first post. Also include the quarry which added a +1 that I haven't edited in yet.
Just one roll is enough, I'll let you keep the 20!
Is Mykael also joining in the re-exploration?
Mykael would join the expedition to help explore the area further, happy to get out and do some adventuring in between all the meetings!
Rolled you a 2 +16+1+1 stability, which doesn't reach your control DC of 22+1.
The coin counterfeiters make a mockery of your budding justice system and highlights the complete lack of precedent you have in your kingdom. The case gets repeatedly recessed and adjourned and rolls into the next month. The publicity causes a small fallout (1 Unrest) and Caelum definitely picks up on it among all the people who have taken the mantle of responsibility and leadership such as business owners and foremen.
In summary, over the month:
+1 Unrest
-1 BP (Consumption)
-1 Unrest
+Hex to NE, -1 BP
+Quarry [+1 Stability, +1 on tax], -6 BP, +Farm [-2 Consumption], -4 BP
+House [Unrest -1], -3 BP, +Dance Hall [Economy +1, Loyalty +2, Unrest +1, and Corruption +1, Crime +1], -2 BP
Edicts:
Holiday none [Loyalty -1, Consumption 0]
Promotion token [Stability 1, Consumption 1]
Taxation none [Economy 0, Loyalty 1]
+15 BP (Tax)
+1 Unrest (Event), continues
Treasury: 68 -17 +15 = 66 BP
With your responsibilities for the month complete, you all ride out for a relaxing trip into the deadly Stolen Lands. Walking along the bank of the Shrike it never seems to narrow more than 200' and you wonder how you would explore the other side. The Sootscale kobolds are happy to see you again, taking you in for the night.
The second day as you travel along the river you come across a sagging, old, thick rope spanning 350' across. Each bank has a short pier 30' above the rushing water and sharp rocks below as well as a signpost and rusty bell on the side. The sign announces:
'Nettles' Crossing
5 copper bits ring bell for service'
Out of Character: TO DO: Add edict modifiers and add the rest of the benefits.
I will draw up a political/strategic map with features such as river and terrain reduced to symbols and ownership done in colours. This map will go in the home base too.
I'm just worried where to put more settlements when you have more than 3. Perhaps as pictures in the topic? Do you mind the blueprint layout with just text (Maybe redone in Gimp instead of paint…)? Would you prefer more like a bird's eye view with text?
