Seeing no more threats Mykael sheaths his sword, glances at the small wound on his arm left by the troll but dismisses it as being very minor. "Akiros" Mykael acknowledges the fallen paladin with a nod and removes his helm revealing his short blonde hair and piercing blue eyes "It would seem our request was granted… "
He looks to Hegin "Welcome brother,it is good to see you again."
Finally to Kyra "Kyra of Katapesh, I am Mykael Brewmore, a champion of Iomadae. I have great respect for your order, it is a pleasure to meet you." He stands still dripping from his foray across the river.
After Kresnik's healing, the newcomers' wounds are better, such that would need a day or two to fully heal (Kyra is down 14, Akiros 9 and Hegin 4).
"Granted indeed," Hegin replies to Mykael, "First Sword Knight Anarrow came to the capital to arbitrate the case. Kyra here has a miraculous way with words, she convinced her to allow Akiros to perform community service in Freehold before granting him his atonement and reinstating his paladinhood. It seemed the best option for all."
Hegin is a gnome in chain shirt over which his white tabard depicts a longsword with a sunburst hilt, just like Mykael's. He's wielding a bow and riding a pony.
Akiros is a man with long grey hair and a trimmed, short beard. He's in chainmail, holding a longbow with a shield and pack on his back. "Mykael, I hope you don't mind me changing the subject so abruptly, but I believe you confiscated something of mine. It would have been useful in the fight."
He also talks on the subject of speaking before fighting, "It was unwise of Kyra not to have recognised trolls and to give them the benefit of the doubt. But such is the duty of a paladin. The brunt of the first attack is a willing sacrifice to Iomedae, Sarenrae and the other gods."
Mykael fixes Akiros with a stern look; he looks about and then to the other side of the river where Midnight remains. "My sword is with my horse at the moment; once I retrieve it I will return that which is yours with the hopes that I will not regret it in the future."
Then when his gaze returns to Akiros it softens a bit and lets out a small sigh "I am glad that you were given a chance at redemption though… " then, tugging on his armor he turns to Archival and says "So… what's the plan? We going back on that side of the river, if not how do I get Midnight back on this side? Any more elementals left in you?"

Kresnik looks about a bit, "Well, it seems to me that these three might wish to join our little foray. I think we need to discuss how to handle master Akiros' case anyways, not much point in him waiting in Freehold while we're running about out here. What say you?"
"As to regrouping on either side of the river, there's still the rope downriver. Now that we're not in a hurry, we could swim the horses and strip down some of the more… heavily burdened so they can pull themselves across. I can carry people's things over easily enough if need be. It may not be as dignified as our last crossing, but we've burnt most of our resources for today."
"But for now, shall we go find miss Kyra's horse? The poor thing might still be running."

Jesla turns back around as Hegin and Akiros speak. She eyes them coldly. " I am Jesla of the mighty Kellid. Giving up the first strike? I'm glad I worship Gorum. My lord in iron prefers taking the first strike. I am more about delivering justice, not redemption. " Jesla smiles coldly at them.
The barbarian looks to Kresnik. " I do not look forward to crossing this river yet again today. This water sapped my strength. Too bad I can't sprout wings and fly. " She looks irritated. " Yes, let's go find that horse before something else decides to eat it. "
I summon a phantom steed. "This should speed up the retrieval of Kyra's horse."
Turning to Mykael I shrug. "I am unsure. Summoning can be a fickle thing at times. One moment I might summon three elementals with but a thought, the next I might only muster the service of one… I could summon some water elementals though to guide us and the mounts to the other side. That would be the safer alternative, more sure of success."
Stroking the silvanshee's back, I ask her, "Please see to drying out Mykael and the others as well - perhaps have them stand closer to the fire elementals to aid in the process? I know the damp under their armor must chafe."
Theaton seeing that all is done here nods to everyone and says, "Now that all are safe I will head back to the rope crossing and head back over. I will meet everyone back on the other side." He turns and heads back to the river crossing where the rope is and will use it to pull himself back across the river. He is not in as much as a hurry to get across but still will pull himself across.
Jesla watches Theaton leave. " I will cross as well. I think the rest of you can handle the missing horse. I'm ready to get back to my own horse. " She walks after Theaton and will cross when he is finished. Jesla will then help watch their steeds until the others arrive.
