At least 60 people have been injured in an explosion at a fireworks market near Mexico City, Luis Felipe Puente, coordinator of Mexico's national civil protection agency, tells CNN affiliate FOROtv.
The explosion took place in Tultepec, about 25 miles north of Mexico City, where pyrotechnics are a major industry. Emergency responders are at the scene and assessing the damage, Puente said. Ref. CNN.
The figure has been raised to 26 dead. Fireworks are so dangerous and people handle them haphazardly all the time specially little children but I'm not saying this is what caused the problems in Mexico.
