Though I do not quiet fully understand or agree with this, one scientific discovery I am not so comfortable with is the idea we are not in control of our own minds, and the decisions we make are simply chemicals in out brains telling us what to do.

I have seen some use this to argue free will is a lie, and that everything we believe, our actions and decisions, and ever choice made is simply chemicals in our brain controlling us.
