Bills bring back former receiving star Price
QUOTE |
A seven-year NFL veteran, the wide receiver returns to the Bills after failed stints with Atlanta and Dallas -- moves that came after he forced a trade from Buffalo to the Falcons three years ago. His new contract is worth more than $10 million and includes additional incentives should he take over as the Bills No. 1 receiver. |
I always like Peerless Price, but was surprised to see him go back to Buffalo. He really won't have the quarter back that Atlanta and even Dallas had in my opinion. But at least Buffalo is trying to step up their program, they haven't had a great receiver since the Superbowl days.
Buffalo is also facing some other problems in that the owner is looking to sell, but fears that the team will be moved if he does sell. Buffalo is a lot like Green Bay; small team in a small town but with some rabid and die-hard fans. It would really be a disappointment to see the team leave town because of money, but as they say, money talks.
Syracuse football coach Doug Marrone has agreed to become the next head coach of the Buffalo Bills, according to a person informed of the discussions between the teams. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been signed and announced. Marrone, 48, leaves Syracuse after four seasons in which he compiled a 25-25 record.
