I am a mid forties professional interested in writing and learning about text-based Role-playing Games. I know some friends who have played Role-playing Games, but I think doing this in an asynchronous fashion by writing sounds interesting.

Skees Introduction Sharing Member & Introductions

Quite a few Role-playing Games to be found here. ROK 2 is something of a Play By Post/online text game hybrid. For classic play by post, there are quite a few games available. Though at the moment the only games looking for new players are all of the Dungeons & Dragons variety.

If you are interested in fifth edition, good timing, my own campaign is going to begin within a few days, and we still have one unfilled seat waiting for the first to claim it.

If not, other games taking on newbies span other editions, 3.5, Pathfinder, 2E, and AD&D.
