Man has always found satisfaction living off the land. We find living out of the city to be a sanity saver. The ability to leave the stress and chaos of work behind and get away from it all at home is rejuvenating. City dwellers who do not have the luxury will often find their little piece of sanity through rooftop gardens or windowsill greenhouses. Our neighbors grew tired of the city life and have settled into a little hobby farm next door. They raise cows and chickens and so far have no regrets for what they left behind.
The ideal is to live "away from it all" but close enough to the cornucopia of offerings to be found in the city.
With the ever expanding urban sprawl it is getting harder to find a piece of paradise to call your own.
