Trump vs CNN
I just watched the news conference by Donald Trump outlining what will happen to the Trump organization among other things. Donald Trump attacked Buzz feed and CNN for fake news but dwelt more on CNN who he has hated for a long time. Up for Discussion… do you think Donald Trump has good reasons to dislike CNN?

He needs to be careful doing that (Naming specific media and people) because he is going to bring the reputation of his office in disrepute. While buzzfeed.com did publish the fake news CNN only pointed to the unverified allegations and were not the ones who publicized it. While I'm no advocate for CNN because they are very biased in their coverage I do think that as president elect he needs to focus on the issue and leave the media out because if he is expecting the media to only say good things about him then he is going to have major problems in the future.

CNN was blocked from a White House press briefing. Some others were also blocked, perhaps those that do not look favorable in the eyes of Trump, maybe even Bannon!

Yeah, President Obama tried this too. He tried to have Fox banished and all the other new outlets stood behind Fox. Now it's time to stand behind CNN. I believe CNN often slants the news against President Trump. I also believe they tend to believe anything about him which leads to not enough investigation. But, no president should be able to simply banish a news organization. Fight them, yes he can do that. Call out every one of their mistakes, absolutely. But simply banishing goes too far.
They are already protesting. This is about the ties to Russia and asking the FBI to hush about it. They are using media outlets that aren't mainstream.

CNN and other news organizations were blocked Friday from an off-camera White House press briefing.
There was no immediate explanation from the White House.
The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and Politico were also excluded from the meeting, which is known as a gaggle and is less formal than the televised Q-and-A session in the White House briefing room.
Conservative media organizations Breitbart News, The Washington Times and One America News Network were allowed in.
The Associated Press and Time magazine boycotted the briefing because of how it was handled.
The White House Correspondents Association also protested the move.
Hours earlier, at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington, President Donald Trump mocked and disparaged the news media. He said that much of the press represents "The enemy of the people." Ref. CNN.
This is really starting to worry me. Both sides need to back off and remember where we are.
The press needs to stop screaming the sky is falling every time President Trump does something. My goodness, they gave President Obama eight years worth of a pass and never once held his feet to the fire. Remember if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor? The press reported that like it was the gospel and mocked those who said President Obama was wrong, lying, or both. Then when it came out you couldn't keep your doctor they barely whispered. Now they are awake and overreacting to everything.
By the same token, President Trump and his team have to stop villainizing the press. You can be confrontational and that is expected to some degree. But to make them out to be evil entities puts a target on their heads for some nut case and seems to me to be one step down the road of somehow limiting them in some way. And something like cannot happen.
