I found my way here through a post on Facebook regarding Autism and Role-playing Games. Not being a teacher (Formally or by profession but one in the heart) but interested in the subject of games and education, I joined. RPGs have also been an interest since the late 1970s. I still have drawings of my "Knife Shop" wares to be sold in a game that was never played.
I've been developing games for a few years. They all have a learning component which seems to irk many hardcore gamers, which is ironic since my reading points to the fact that most early board games were designed and played for that exact reason. RPGs themselves were born of war games which in turn were born of real strategic and tactical games employed by the military to either teach basics or explore 'what if' scenarios. But I digress.
So, in closing, my interest in learning with games has brought me here.
Now I, Gorzon the Great, shall conquer all the land and become Ruler of Kings.
