I met a captain of no small measure the other day. I was walking through the forest enjoying the spring air when I heard a yell not to far from me. I rushed quietly to see what was going on. A group of brigands had attacked the captain and his patrol. I quickly joined the fray helping the captain and the few soldiers he had left and forced the brigands to retreat. He thanked me for my help and asked if I would be okay with hunting down the brigands. I quickly agreed. He sent his remaining men back and we set off. We hunted them for many nights and days. We finally had managed to track them down into a cave hidden behind a grove of trees.We rested before attacking the cave. We talked about a great many things that night. Our many nights and days together had made us friends. He told me of his life and goals and I shared mine. He seemed greatly impressed with my goal and even said that he would help me. I asked how could he being a captain but he told me not to worry. We slept very well and attacked early in he morning when everyone would be just getting up. Though the number odds weren't in our favor, we were a force to be reckon with. How the enemy looked at us with fear! The battle was over soon and we returned to the city. Mantalor swore on his life that he would help me as I had helped him.
