Deep-space mission to metal asteroid

Scientists are planning to send a deep-space probe to a metal asteroid, enabling them to see what is believed to be a planetary core. Psyche, an asteroid orbiting the sun between Mars and Jupiter, is made almost entirely of nickel-iron metal. Ref. Source 2o.

That should be interesting. It may also attract attention to just how lucrative investing in ground to space operations could be for a business willing to go after material resources.

If they were able to mine it then it could make them very rich but the irony is it will probably cost as much to mine and return it to earth as it would just getting the gold from it.
