She did some good research. Anyone serious about losing weight can learn a lot here but I would not overdo with cutting carbs. Definitely leave out bread but boiled or baked potatoes are good just make sure you don't over do on them.
Most of her advice is correct. If you want to lose weight really fast you can follow her advice, but I have been struggling with weight for a while too, and been on many medically supervised diets. Each person is different and depending on your metabolism, your needs can change. If you are diabetic or have serious hypertension you have to really watch out what you eat and how often. For many people it is actually better to break down your eating to 5 times a day, so you eat less at each 'meal' (More like a snack), but still sustain your blood sugar. Also making sure you get a protein, and a small amount of carbs at each meal will help ensure that your blood sugar isn't spiking or dipping too much. Staying away from over processed food and fizzy drinks is good advice for everyone. No matter what sugar alternative they use, it is bad for you in one way or another. The only sugar that is okay is stevia (The plant sugar), but even that needs to be in small doses. If you look up many bariatric friendly meals, you can find good alternatives to carbs and starches so that you get to enjoy foods without all the fat.
