I have never felt good about other people benefiting from another's burdens, but I think a case like this is completely different. You can't think that way in sports. After all, why else would they have back-up players? What an excellent opportunity for Michael Jenkins to shine. Do you think this win will give his coaches the confidence they need in him?

Its a good time for him to shine. Injury is an integral part of the NFL, and some people would never get a chance without others getting injured. Dez White is going to be a great receiver if he stays healthy. But in the mean time, it a chance for others to step up and play. Lets face it, the team needs someone else to step up when someone is injured. It works our best for everyone but the incumbent that loses his job.

The Falcons had a very quiet NFL 2006 draft, and also have not made many big off-season moves. This is mostly because they have a sound team with very few holes to fill. Probably the biggest news in Atlanta was the drafting of hometown hero D.J Shockley, QB from Georgia who had a dream season with the Bulldogs. They also added John Abraham from the Jets and Lawyer Milloy from Buffalo.

The Falcons defeated the Green Bay Packers 44-21 in the NFC Championship Game in Atlanta to advance to Super Bowl LI, ending their tenure in the stadium with their biggest home win in franchise history.

It will be the Falcons' second Super Bowl appearance. The last time came in the 1998 season, when Atlanta lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXIII. Ref. CNN.
