Zane the Swordsman

Even as a child I understood the bleakness of life, everything the supposed wise men say is the mere opinion of an over thinking mind. Life gives not a meaning for your existence, rather tis you who chose it. As for me, I chose to acquire power and seek pleasure by any means necessary. My muscular body and tall stature of 5 feet 11 inches give me a physical advantage that I plan to use to get what I seek. My gray hair and deep black eye, and rugged appearance will come in handy in this rough land. A land that I will come to conquer, not to bring order to the land or live a mark in history, but for the mere power that comes with the title and of course the pleasure of doing as I wish without having to answerer to any man.

It was in the forge while working as a blacksmith that I first met captain Darius, he came looking for a new weapon but seemed unsatisfied with what was available. He wore plate armor and carried a metal helmet on his arm. He gave me a stern look and told me somethings I would have rather not heard. Darius warned me against rushing into battle with enemies whose strength is unknown, he seemed to be concerned that I would act reckless in my way of reaching my objectives. I made clear that I would rather not have someone to answer to, but advise from someone with experience is always welcome.

Reflections on your mother

I do indeed remember the words and teachings my mother gave despite my unruly behavior as a child I understood her motivation and will of life was to see me be good and healthy. I may not have agreed with all of her teachings but even heartless men have always a space in their minds for the woman responsable for their life. Her untimely death sure had an effect on me but its nothing that some hard work and good ale won't fix.
