Echoes of 'old' Ireland
Wandering around the hidden corners of Ireland seems a wonderful notion: one-pub villages connected by laneways shaded by old oak trees, paddocks filled with iridescent grass and fluffy sheep, rough stone fences leading to isolated farmhouses. Dublin: A trip to the bright side
Bill the driver on our bus tour, has what is universally known as the gift of the gab. The Irish call it solabharthact. I call it hilarious. He's an official guide on the Dublin Bus tour double-deckers and, in that lovely sing-song dialect of the region, has his passengers in stitches. As well as giving us learned historic references to all sorts, he also injects a cheeky Irish note which is infectious. Ref. Source 5
If I ever had the chance to I will definitely fancy a trip to Ireland to see the green country side and see if I catch myself a Leprechaun that could lead me to a pot of gold!
