All Gender Bathrooms

Aussie uni rolls out ‘all gender’ bathrooms. An Australian university has launched “all-gender” bathrooms in an effort to make “students feel safe and welcome on campus”. Source 4b.

In my opinion, I don't quite get the idea that it'll be "Safe" for all people in the first place. Some people feel more comfortable being around those with the same gender - for safety purposes. At the same time I get that some people will want to have "Gender diversity" and all but at the same time making a decision such as this won't be JUST for one group of persons, it's affecting everyone now.
