Hellboy 2
I enjoyed this movie. It is good to see a film where the superhero is powerful but not above death and destruction. Ron Perlman does well with this character, indeed it seems Ron Perlman was made to play Hellboy. There were some interesting twists to Hellboy 2 that made me appreciate it above the feature double I went to see (The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor). There were also a few things that I thought could be improved, but they are less than than what the good of the movie does. The costumes, sound effects and storyline are all good. If you are taking children to see this then there is the 'tooth fairy' part that MAY seem to be a little scary, but my eight year old thought it wasn't scary at all. The best part of this film was the elven concept where a long lasting war between the humans and the elves was brought to fruition once again by a Price Elf played by Luke Goss. The fight scenes have funny moments that make the movie enjoyable and although the outcome is obvious you feel you want to see it play through I give Hellboy 2 a fitting 2
