Vortahar presents himself with a medium stature and a well conditioned body, typical of a forest dweller. With a fair complexion and brown wild kept hair, what really catches your attention at first are his olive eyes: a vortex of emotions that speak not only of pain and suffering but also of mystery and wisdom.
Often mesmerized by the raw aspects of nature, Vortahar experienced abnormal phenomena during his infancy which haunted him in form of visions and extraneous encounters that he prefered to rationalize as dreams or even hallucinations.
When he was mature enough to understand, he realized that nature was communicating with him and he only had to listen, even though its symbols were too hermetic for him to comprehend at that early age.
A period of intense study followed, systematically cataloguing fauna and flora of nearby regions. He became a trainee and gained his life helping botanists, tamers, alchemists, natural science scholars in general and even mystics, anyone who could help him understand what was expected of him.
Whether a sage or a lunatic, Vortahar is certain that true power only comes from the perfect balance between nature and the rules of men.
`If you take knowledge as key, nature will conspire to do your bidding`.
Advisor Description
Excitement and fear were both present when Vortahar approached the outskirts of Town. After some weeks mourning his mother, he knew he was at the mercy of civilization to find a job and survive. Everything was overwhelming but he had to focus on his mission. Survival was important but understanding his purpose in life was greater than anything else and the town had the means to it.
On his way to find a job with a group of herbalists, he noticed someone openly following him. A chunky middle aged priest wearing clean white robes could hardly be considered a threat and Vortahar stopped to let the panting holy man catch up.
With a grievous tone, the priest offered his condolensces and explained that as a good friend to his father, Vortahar's mother wrote him a letter, already sensing her ill fate, desperately but secretely asking him for help. The letter delayed and when the priest arrived at Vortahar's forest hut, it had already been abandoned. It took him some time to track Vortahar down but finally it was accomplished and now the priest could honour his friendship with advice on the ways of the city.
Vortahar felt a little more relaxed having a new friend around but intimately was worried about the priest's religious expectations towards him. Nothing, not even loyalty and thankfulness would deviate him from his path. He would only tolerate religion as long as it helped him understand nature.
