Why Professors Object to Being Recorded

After the election of Donald Trump as president, a professor at Orange Coast College in California, Olga Perez Stable Cox, went into an extended hate-rant against the president-elect. Among other things, she described the Trump election as an “act of terrorism,” labelled him a “white supremacist” and called Vice-President-Elect Mike Pence “one of the most anti-gay humans in this country.” And this wasn’t even a political science class in which one might expect political talk, no matter how irresponsible. Recorded To Not Professors

If a professor does not like being recorded then maybe they should not go on a hate filled rant to make themselves look bad. If you dislike your officially elected president then maybe you can give up your position and move to a country that you like better. I think as a teacher of our youth and young adults you stick with the what you are teaching and stop trying to teach kids and young adults how to hate.
