I like the fact that my house has some nice wood floors. I am thinking of having someone come in and redo them so they look even better after years of use. Then I can seal them with some clear coat to allkw them to last even longer. So yes I can see repairing or refurbishing a floor instead of replacing as a way to make your house retail its beauty.
I love hard wood floors. I'm talking about the old, original hard wood. They require care with them but they are so elegant and bring warmth to a room. They are absolutely worth repairing instead of replacing.
Indeed, I love a good piece of wooden flooring myself. Floorboards provide a great place to store the bodies.
Seriously though, it feels and looks great. On the bucket list I'd like to do for my eventual home is fitting in solid Oak flooring myself.
I am not sure what my wood flooring is as it looks like it was stained so it could be a oak floor stained to look more like walnut or I can be totally wrong it not be stained but is actually Walnut flooring. Either way I am very happy with it and will get it refinished to look nice and last longer.
